Good Outline Conditions: Experts are Expecting a Sales Plus in the Tyre Replacement Business
The best possible portents for “Reifen 2012”: The world’s premier fair in the tyre sector will go to the starting line with new record values and in economically good outline conditions. At Messe Essen on June 5 – 8, 630 exhibitors will present their products and services for everything to do with new tyres, the tyre trade, tyre and chassis technology, tyre retreading, vulcanisation and garages.
That will be a new best value. Moreover, “Reifen” will be more international than ever: The exhibitors will come to Essen from 44 nations; in total, the number of foreign companies will rise by ten percent. The trade visitors will be able to look forward to the probably widest range on offer in the history of “Reifen”: With over 64,000 square metres, the fair will occupy 19 percent more area this year.
“Reifen” will thus once again emphasise its position as the most important information and ordering platform in its sector. The world’s premier fair will take place in economically good outline conditions. After a satisfactory past business year with nearly 61 million vehicle tyres sold in the German tyre replacement business, Bundesverband Reifenhandel und Vulkaniseur-Handwerk (BRV – “Federal Association of the Tyre Trade and the Vulcanisers’ Skilled Trade”) is once again expecting a sales plus for 2012. In the case of car tyres, BRV is assuming a growth rate of 2.4 percent; the experts are counting on a particularly extreme rise of 12.5 percent in the segment of the offroad tyres. According to BRV, the tyre label will be the defining subject in the tyre trade and amongst consumers this year. At “Reifen”, the association will offer an expert conference on this topic.
