NAMPO Park, Bothaville: Against the picturesque backdrop of South Africa’s agricultural heartland, Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) captivated attendees at the prestigious Nampo Harvest Festival 2024. The annual event provided a unique platform for TSAM to showcase its innovative contributions to the theme, “Agriculture in a Digital Age.”
TSAM’s exhibit masterfully integrated agricultural elements with modern automotive excellence. The stand featured natural timber finishes and hay bales, harmonizing with the rural setting and underscoring Toyota’s seamless immersion into the agricultural landscape.
A highlight of this year’s showcase was the debut of the newly launched Associated Accessory Products (AAP) program. Vehicles were equipped with an exciting range of accessories, capturing the imagination of festival-goers. Attendees also had the unique opportunity to interact with the new Land Cruiser Prado, making its first public appearance with the 1st edition and VX-R models. Additionally, the iconic Land Cruiser 70 series and the robust Hilux GR-S III, launched on May 13, were on display.
The Toyota stand featured interactive elements that drew crowds, such as the Toyota Urban Trax. Over 300 thrill-seekers daily experienced the impressive 4×4 capabilities of the resilient Hilux. Visitors also explored vehicle displays showcasing the Fortuner, Land Cruiser 300, and Toyota’s sporty lineup, including the GR Supra, GR Corolla, and GR86.
Aligned with Toyota’s global commitment to sustainability and carbon neutrality, the exhibit highlighted TSAM’s energy-efficient vehicles, featuring the RAV4 PHEV and the elegant Crown. The stand also introduced luxury enthusiasts to Lexus’s latest innovations, including the RX 450h Plug-in Hybrid, the NX 350h, and the futuristic RZ.
Festival-goers were treated to a range of Toyota merchandise, with the latest winter collection from the GR and Land Cruiser series available for purchase. Adding to the excitement, the 2023 Currie Cup champions, the Toyota Cheetahs rugby team, made a special appearance for photo opportunities and autograph sessions on Tuesday.
The 2024 Nampo Harvest Festival runs from Tuesday, May 14 to Friday, May 17 in Bothaville, Free State, offering a blend of agricultural heritage and cutting-edge innovation.
