A devastating multi-vehicle accident occurred on the N3 Northbound near Market Road in Pietermaritzburg last night, leaving two confirmed fatalities and at least two dozen passengers injured. The accident involved a passenger bus and two trucks, with the bus catching fire shortly after the collision.

Premlall emphasised the importance of vehicle preparedness and adhering to safe driving practices. “Ensuring your car is roadworthy and taking simple precautions such as maintaining a safe following distance, avoiding distractions, and adhering to speed limits can significantly reduce the risk of accidents,” he added.
