Milton Keynes, 4 June 2025 – TPS, Volkswagen Group UK’s dedicated trade parts operation, is set to redefine its aftermarket presence this summer with the official launch of ‘Brands at TPS’ – a comprehensive initiative that will significantly broaden its product offering to independent workshops and garages across the UK.
Already established as the UK’s leading supplier of Volkswagen Group Genuine Parts, TPS is taking a bold step forward with this new programme, opening up access to an expanded selection of third-party branded components. The move is designed to enhance service to the independent sector, offer greater choice to customers, and meet the evolving demands of a changing vehicle parc.
Third-Party Brands, First-Class Quality
At the heart of ‘Brands at TPS’ is a newly forged partnership with six of the automotive industry’s most trusted aftermarket brands:
- Bosch – One of the most recognisable names in the industry, bringing belts, filters and braking products.
- ZF – A global powerhouse, offering Sachs, TRW, and LEMFÖRDER branded shock absorbers, braking systems, steering and suspension parts.
- Mahle – Renowned for engine filtration and clean mobility solutions.
- SKF – The world’s largest bearings manufacturer, supplying belts, bearings, and chassis components.
- Hella – Electronics specialists delivering engine electrics and lighting.
- Valeo – Already a TPS partner for wiper blades, now extending its reach to clutch kits, flywheels and hydraulics.
Initially, TPS will offer around 2,000 new third-party parts, with plans to scale the portfolio to over 10,000 as the programme matures. The expansion means independent workshops will soon have access to TPS’s widest-ever range of products, all via its existing national network of 83 TPS Centres.
Responding to an Ageing Vehicle Parc
The timing of the launch is significant. According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the average age of cars on UK roads has now reached 9.5 years – the oldest on record. At the same time, Volkswagen Group models account for nearly one in four vehicles in the UK. This ageing parc has driven increased demand for both genuine and high-quality aftermarket alternatives, particularly for older vehicles.
‘Brands at TPS’ ensures that whether a customer needs a genuine part for a five-year-old Škoda or a quality third-party alternative for a decade-old SEAT, TPS will have the solution. With a strong focus on older vehicle coverage, the expanded offering aims to keep more vehicles on the road for longer – reliably and affordably.
A One-Stop Shop for Quality and Expertise
Catherine Baker, Head of TPS, commented:
“We are proud to launch ‘Brands at TPS’ and in doing so boost our parts offering to our customers. We’ve always been Genuine first and that doesn’t change. But with this expansion, we’re now able to provide a true one-stop-shop for our mechanical customers’ needs.”
“Whether it’s Genuine Parts for a five-year-old car or reliable, more affordable parts for a 10-year-old one, we aim to become the trusted one-stop-shop for keeping vehicles on the road – quickly, efficiently, and with unmatched expertise.”
Importantly, this wider product range will continue to be underpinned by the hallmark TPS service experience. TPS Centres will offer expert guidance on product selection, ensuring workshops understand the distinct advantages and appropriate applications of each part – whether OEM or third-party. That insight is bolstered by TPS’s unrivalled knowledge of Volkswagen Group vehicles and a delivery infrastructure that operates six days a week.
Building on Nearly Two Decades of Trust
For nearly 20 years, TPS has earned the confidence of the UK’s automotive trade by consistently delivering genuine quality, trusted advice, and dependable logistics. The ‘Brands at TPS’ launch strengthens that promise.
“This new development means a wider range delivered through our existing network and helps to make TPS the parts supplier the aftermarket trade can trust for pretty much everything they require,” added Baker. “Coupled with our six-day-a-week deliveries and trusted reputation built over nearly two decades, we’re confident that ‘Brands at TPS’ will be a benefit to our customers – and in turn, theirs.”
With ‘Brands at TPS’, TPS is setting a new benchmark in trade parts supply – offering flexibility, quality, and the same dependable service that customers have come to rely on. For the UK’s workshops and garages, it’s a timely evolution from a trusted name in automotive parts.
