Johannesburg, South Africa – Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) is proud to announce the launch of the 19th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, a global initiative that empowers children to imagine the future of mobility through art. Since its inception in 2004, this iconic contest has grown into one of the world’s largest international art competitions, attracting over 10 million entries worldwide.
But beyond the impressive numbers, the contest carries a deeper purpose: nurturing creativity, inspiring innovation, and encouraging young minds to dream boldly.
This year’s theme, “Your Dream Car”, invites children aged 15 and under to envision vehicles that go beyond simple transportation. Whether it’s a car that cleans the oceans, promotes sustainable living, or brings communities closer together, the contest provides a canvas for hope, imagination, and forward-thinking ideas.
“At Toyota, we believe mobility is about more than movement—it’s about creating joy, opportunities, and a better future for all,” said Tasneem Lorgat, General Manager of Marketing Communications at Toyota South Africa Motors. “The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest encourages children to explore the future of transportation and express their ideas creatively. By engaging with these young innovators, we aim to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers who will shape the future of mobility. It’s a wonderful reflection of our global mission: Produce Happiness for All.”
