The Toyota Hilux GR Sport boasts a range of unique design and dynamic features that differentiate it from its stablemates and position it as the hero model of the range. The vehicle’s engine outputs have been boosted to 165 kW and 550 Nm, and it features GR-specific suspension tuning, bespoke exterior design with distinctive GR-Sport front grille treatment, wider overfenders, black exterior-trim package, leather/Alcantara interior trim with unique GR accents, and 17″ alloy wheels shod with 265-65-R17 tyres.

The exterior of the Toyota Hilux GR Sport features a large and prominent black front grille, horizontal crossbar finished in a carbon-fiber pattern, and chrome Toyota lettering. The LED headlights have been given special treatment, alongside vertically-stacked air ducts with integrated LED fog lamps. Black mirror caps, black door handles, graphite-coloured side steps, and a rear styling bar with GR branding all contribute to the vehicle’s sporty appearance.

Inside, the Toyota Hilux GR Sport boasts a new instrument cluster with a cog-like metallic bezel, red needles, and unique gauge face. The steering wheel is bespoke and perforated, with red contrast stitching and GR badging. The racing-inspired front seats feature Alcantara inserts, GR badging on the headrests, red accent panels, and power adjustment for the driver’s seat.

The Toyota Hilux GR Sport’s underpinnings have been modified with new monotube shock absorbers paired with stiffer coil springs to deliver improved high-speed stability and handling response. The wheel and tire package features bespoke 17″ alloy wheels in a Titanium finish, while the tire package has been revised with taller profile 265-65-R17 rubber to offer enhanced off-road performance.

Standard specification remains comprehensive, with keyless entry, retractable and power-adjustable side mirrors, automatic headlights, auto door lock, park distance control (PDC), reverse camera, dual-zone climate control, air-conditioned upper glove box, Multi-Information Display (MID), one-touch power windows, and integrated power outlets.

The Toyota Hilux GR Sport is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), which offers a full suite of active safety aids including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert (LDA), and Pre-Collision System (PCS). The model is sold with a 9-services/90 000 km service plan and 3-year/100 000 km warranty.
