Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) continues to champion automotive excellence with the announcement of a partially upgraded Toyota Supra (3.0-litre) and the limited-edition Supra A90 Final Edition. The latter, a culmination of the current Supra’s evolution, is set for global release with a limited production of just 300 units, underscoring its exclusivity and prestige.

A Legacy Reimagined
Since its debut in 1978, the Toyota Supra has captivated enthusiasts with its front-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration and iconic in-line six-cylinder engine. Over the decades, the Supra’s motorsport pedigree has cemented its status as a cultural icon, competing in Super GT, drift championships, and even NASCAR. The Supra-based GR Supra GT4 has furthered its legacy, offering customers a chance to participate in racing globally.

In 2019, after a 17-year hiatus, the Supra returned triumphantly under the vision of Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda, affectionately known as “Master Driver Morizo.” His passion for the Supra was evident:

“Back in the day, I spent countless hours driving an old Supra at Nürburgring to become a master driver. Supra is like an old friend… Even though Toyota had no plans to make a new Supra, I secretly wanted to make it happen.”

Since its relaunch, the GR Supra has continuously evolved, with updates in 2020, 2022, and now in 2024. Each iteration has brought refinements to enhance the Supra’s driving dynamics, ensuring it remains a thrilling companion both on the road and track.

Enhanced Performance: The 2024 Supra
The partially upgraded 3.0-litre Supra delivers a more connected and exhilarating driving experience.

  • Drivetrain & Handling: Active differential control has been optimised to minimise understeer, offering improved handling and cornering precision.
  • Braking Power: Larger Brembo front disc brakes enhance stopping power, instilling confidence in spirited driving.
  • Suspension Upgrades: Revised electronic shock absorbers, strengthened stabilisers, and reinforced body components improve rigidity, road feedback, and overall handling.
  • Aerodynamics: A carbon-fibre ducktail spoiler, flared front wheel arches, and optimised tire spats ensure superior aerodynamic balance and downforce.
  • Interior Refinement: The Alcantara and leather-clad cabin, complete with red accents and “GR” embroidery, embodies a perfect blend of sportiness and luxury.
  • These updates make the Supra more agile and enjoyable, whether navigating city streets, winding mountain roads, or high-speed circuits.

Supra A90 Final Edition: A Celebration of Excellence
The Supra A90 Final Edition represents the pinnacle of the current-generation Supra, blending motorsport-inspired engineering with cutting-edge enhancements. Designed as a tribute to its loyal fanbase, this limited-edition model pushes the boundaries of performance and style.

  • Powertrain Supremacy:
A revised intake and low-back-pressure catalyst elevate output to a remarkable 435 PS and 570 Nm of torque, delivering blistering acceleration. The addition of an Akrapovič titanium exhaust amplifies the engine’s roar, reflecting its racing DNA.
  • Racing-Grade Suspension & Brakes:
Featuring KW adjustable suspension with 16 rebound and 12 compression settings, the Final Edition offers unparalleled adaptability. Brembo 19-inch brakes and stainless steel mesh hoses ensure precise, fade-free braking performance, even under intense conditions.
  • Aerodynamic Expertise:
Aerodynamics were honed by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe, incorporating a carbon-fibre front splitter, swan-neck rear wing, and a ventilated hood. These elements provide optimal downforce and cooling efficiency, vital for high-performance driving.
  • Exclusive Design:
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, lightweight wheels engraved with the TGR logo, and red-accented RECARO Podium CF bucket seats underline its track-focused intent. Alcantara trim and carbon-fibre scuff plates further enhance its bespoke appeal.

Looking Ahead
With the Supra A90 Final Edition marking the conclusion of the current Supra’s production, Toyota Gazoo Racing signals the end of an era while reaffirming its commitment to motorsport-driven innovation. Though this chapter closes, the Supra’s spirit will continue to thrive on racetracks worldwide.

For enthusiasts, the Supra A90 Final Edition isn’t merely a car—it’s a testament to the enduring legacy of one of Toyota’s most beloved icons. With only 300 units available globally, it promises to be a collector’s dream and a performance masterpiece.

Whether on the road or the track, the Supra’s journey isn’t ending—it’s evolving.
