Johannesburg – Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) has confirmed that its motorsport arm, Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa (TGRSA), will take centre stage at the 2025 SA Festival of Motoring. The highly anticipated automotive showcase runs from 29 to 31 August at the iconic Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, where Toyota will deliver a dynamic mix of display models and adrenaline-fuelled track action.
Headlining Toyota’s appearance is the recently introduced 2025 GR Yaris. Launched locally in May, the performance hatch features an advanced automatic transmission that makes its motorsport-bred DNA more accessible than ever. Joining it on display will be the GR Yaris Race Car, a machine that competes in the popular GR Cup and embodies Toyota’s commitment to high-performance engineering.

Festivalgoers will not only admire these models up close but also witness the GR Yaris Race Cars unleashed on the circuit. Professional instructors from the TGRSA Driving Academy will offer heart-racing hot laps, complemented by appearances from Toyota’s own South African Touring Cars (SATC) drivers – Nathi Msimanga, Michael van Rooyen, and Saood Variawa. Their expertise ensures every ride is both exhilarating and safe, giving fans a true taste of competitive motorsport.
“Toyota South Africa Motors’ presence at the SA Festival of Motoring reflects our commitment to innovation, performance, and engaging directly with motorsport fans. We are excited to bring the Gazoo Racing experience to life and share our passion for motorsport with South Africans,” said Glenn Crompton, Vice President of Marketing Communications at Toyota South Africa Motors.
