GT7 Supersprint Brings Speed, Skill, and Virtual Motorsport to South African Malls
Johannesburg, South Africa – Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) is once again revving up its commitment to innovation and adrenaline-fuelled experiences as it returns as the official racing partner for the MTN Shift Gaming Experience — one of the country’s premier national gaming tournaments.
In a celebration of speed, skill, and shared excitement, TSAM’s Toyota Gaming Engine (TTGE) will play host to the GT7 Supersprint, a dynamic and high-octane racing tournament designed to thrill gamers and motorsport enthusiasts alike. Taking place at Hyprop Malls across South Africa, the experience promises to fuse cutting-edge simulation with the undeniable appeal of Toyota Gazoo Racing.

From June through September, the GT7 Supersprint will journey to key retail destinations — including The Glen, Clearwater Mall, and Canal Walk — transforming familiar shopping spaces into immersive motorsport arenas. Two premium racing simulators will be installed at each venue, giving participants of all skill levels the opportunity to compete in time lap challenges or enjoy free-to-play racing, all behind the virtual wheel of high-performance Toyota Gazoo Racing machines.

The GT7 Supersprint is open to all, though prizes will be awarded exclusively to participants aged 18 and over. Each day’s top performer will walk away with a R1,000 shopping voucher, redeemable at the host mall. At the conclusion of the nationwide tour, the fastest racers will be entered into a draw to win the ultimate prize: an all-expenses-paid experience for two at the prestigious Toyota Gazoo Racing Driving Academy (TGRDA) — where the digital meets the physical on an actual racetrack.
