The Toyota FJ Cruiser performance at the Johannesburg Motor Show 2011
The Toyota FJ Cruiser display and off-road demonstration course were one of the best displays for me at the Johannesburg International Motor Show 2011. The FJ Cruiser is the newest and latest add on to the Toyota range of vehicles. The FJ Cruiser was launched on the 16th of August 2011 in South Africa for the first time.

While we were attending the Johannesburg Motor Show we had the opportunity to drive within one of these NEW FJ Cruisers and I am impressed. When one stand next to the 4×4 display and looking at the FJ Cruisers performing it looks very daunting, and one cannot help to wonder when the FJ Cruisers will fail and get stuck or roll over.
My partner went with me on the demo drive and she admitted to not really wanting to go on the vehicle and being scared. Once we got into the track it were smooth driving all the way.
Expecting a roller coaster drive and instead it felt like we were on a Sunday drive. Not once during the course of the track did we feel scared or threatened or like it looked from the outside that the car might crash, fail or roll-over. The drive in the FJ Cruiser was completely smooth without any feeling of fear or that the vehicle was not capable of doing its task.
My partner also asked me if the Car is an electric car, this is how quite the FJ Cruiser ran. Little noise and lots of power.
