Škoda Auto has unveiled the refreshed versions of its iconic Octavia hatchback and estate, bringing significant upgrades to its design, technology, and performance. As the brand’s best-selling model with over seven million units sold, the fourth-generation Octavia now sports a sleeker exterior with revamped front and rear bumpers, an updated Škoda grille, and advanced second-generation LED Matrix beam headlights featuring Crystallinium elements. These enhancements not only provide a more dynamic look but also improve road illumination and safety with animated LED rear lights.
Inside, the Octavia offers seven new Design Selections that emphasize sustainability. These include options with recycled fabrics and leather tanned using coffee husks, reflecting Škoda’s commitment to eco-friendly materials. The interior is further modernized with a 13-inch central infotainment display and an improved 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit, providing a more intuitive and engaging user experience. Wireless charging has been upgraded to a more powerful 15-watt system, and the car features multiple USB-C ports for enhanced connectivity.
The Octavia’s connectivity features have also seen a significant boost. The AI-powered ChatGPT will be integrated into the Laura voice assistant later this year, offering a more advanced and interactive in-car experience. The MyŠkoda app has been updated to provide better connectivity between the car and smartphone, allowing users to lock and unlock the vehicle, access driving statistics, and find parking spaces. Additionally, services such as Pay to Park, Pay to Fuel, and Traffication make everyday driving more convenient.
Under the hood, the Octavia offers a range of efficient powertrains, including three petrol engines and two diesel engines, with mild-hybrid variants available for improved efficiency. Power outputs range from 116 PS to 265 PS, catering to a variety of driving preferences. The new engines not only enhance performance but also reduce emissions, aligning with Škoda’s sustainability goals.

Safety is a top priority in the updated Octavia, which features new driver assistance systems like Attention and Drowsiness Assist, Intelligent Park Assist, and Remote Park Assist. These systems work together to monitor driver behavior, assist with parking, and ensure overall vehicle safety. The updated model also includes up to ten airbags, providing comprehensive protection for all occupants.

The updated Škoda Octavia is now available for order, with prices starting from £26,775. The first deliveries are expected in summer 2024, ensuring that Škoda’s latest innovations reach everyday explorers soon.
