TATA STAR BUS 34 ULTRA
Tata Motors Limited unveiling Tata Star bus Ultra range in South Africa. This range of buses is a part of the Global MCV platform. Being present in MCV truck and bus segments in South Africa for more than a decade, Tata Motors was able to customize this new range of products for the South Africa market and its customer needs.
This Star bus Ultra range will offer best in class operating economics, in terms of seats, fuel efficiency, service intervals and reliability. Their design and manufacture conform to new safety regulations and emission standards; in fact they are Euro III, Euro IV compliant, and Euro V ready. They also have a new and contemporary appeal.
The Star bus Ultra has come out with a new Powertrain, new generation 4 valve common rail engine capable of delivering speeds of up to 120 Kmph, good pick up for faster trips and lowest NVH for a comfortable journey.
It is equipped with a Cable shift precise gear shift mechanism. With strong aggregates, such as a robust high strength chassis frame and softer and durable suspension, the Tata Starbus Ultra will be a winner in city and highway applications. AC option, data logger, suspended driver seat and feature rich instrument cluster improves driver efficiency resulting in increased productivity and faster returns on investment.
Tata Motors is planning to begin the distribution of Starbus Ultra in South Africa in 2012.
All of our models are conceptualized and manufactured in our Pune facility and bus body built at Tata Marcopolo in India.
The range of buses were designed incorporating the needs of South African customers after multiple interviews, customer clinics and testing cycles in the South African conditions.
Resources on a truly global scale has been utilized in the development & design of these buses. Engine technology has come from Europe and the knowhow for the chassis frame has come from Mexico,The tried and tested suspension has its origins in Europe and all electrical accessories are developed with partners from USA, Korea and Europe.
