In a move that reaffirms its commitment to customer satisfaction and long-term reliability, Suzuki has announced a significant enhancement to its already generous Service Activated Warranty. From 1st May 2025, all Suzuki customers in the UK and Republic of Ireland will benefit from a newly extended 10-year Service Activated Warranty scheme – offered entirely free of charge.
Initially launched with a seven-year limit in Spring 2023, this upgraded programme is designed to provide unparalleled peace of mind to Suzuki drivers – extending protection well beyond the industry norm and demonstrating the brand’s philosophy as “The Trusted Car Brand for Those Who Are Proud to Be Different.”
What’s New – and What Makes It Stand Out?
Suzuki’s enhanced warranty programme provides continued cover once the original manufacturer’s warranty (three years or 60,000 miles) expires, so long as the vehicle is booked in for its next scheduled service at an authorised Suzuki dealer. This activates the new warranty period, which lasts until the next service is due – and this cycle continues until the vehicle reaches 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
There’s no catch, no hidden fees, and no complicated exclusions – just a seamless extension of confidence for owners who service their vehicles through the Suzuki network. From major components to genuine parts and expert repairs, customers benefit from a safety net that not only protects their investment but also enhances resale value, as the warranty is transferable to subsequent owners during the 10-year period.
It’s a loyalty strategy built on transparency, trust, and tangible value – one that puts Suzuki ahead of the curve in an increasingly competitive automotive landscape.
Leading the EV Charge with Industry-Beating Battery Cover
Coinciding with the forthcoming launch of the e Vitara – Suzuki’s first fully electric vehicle, arriving this Autumn – the brand is doubling down on its commitment to long-term support. The e Vitara will be backed by an industry-leading 10-year EV battery warranty, outpacing the standard eight-year coverage offered by most rivals and exceeding current regulatory expectations.
It’s a bold, forward-thinking gesture that underlines Suzuki’s confidence in its engineering, while sending a strong message to EV buyers who value both environmental responsibility and long-term peace of mind.

A Strategy Built on Trust and Customer-Centric Thinking
Commenting on the new warranty programme, Denis Houston, Director Aftersales at Suzuki GB PLC, said:
“At Suzuki, customer experience and retention are paramount. The extension of our Service Activated Warranty will certainly enhance this for the future, ensuring our customers get the best levels of service, fitment of genuine parts, and avail of the expertise within our dealer network – rather than going to a non-franchised repairer once their manufacturer warranty expires. Offering this warranty free of charge for both UK and Irish customers is something we are very proud to do as a strong message of trust and care.”
In line with this commitment, the Service Activated Warranty is also available to Suzuki vehicles purchased privately or those with a gap in their dealer service history – making the offer as inclusive as it is generous.
Backed by Awards – and a Proven Track Record
Suzuki’s reputation for reliability and customer care is well earned. The brand has won numerous industry awards in recent years, including recognition at the UK Customer Satisfaction Awards (UKCSI) for its innovative Customer Feedback Strategy. Notably, Suzuki was also named winner of the Trusted Quality Provider category just two years ago.
Further affirming its leadership in customer satisfaction, Suzuki has ranked as the Number 1 Automotive Brand in the UKCSI eight times since 2019 – a level of consistency rarely seen across the industry.
As Suzuki prepares for its next chapter with the all-electric e Vitara, its unwavering focus on customer experience, trust, and long-term value ensures it continues to set the benchmark in the industry. With the new 10-year Service Activated Warranty and EV battery coverage, Suzuki isn’t just promising peace of mind – it’s delivering it as standard.
