Johannesburg, South Africa – November 13, 2025 – Suzuki Auto South Africa celebrates the announcement that Suzuki Motor Corporation has become an Official Global Partner of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026.
The partnership agreement was signed on 11 November 2025 in Hamamatsu, Japan, by Confederation of African Football (CAF) General Secretary Véron Mosengo-Omba and Yusuke Kato, Managing Officer and Executive General Manager, Automobile Marketing, Europe, Middle East and Africa, at Suzuki Motor Corporation.
Under this historic agreement, Suzuki will serve as an Official Global Partner for four major CAF tournaments: the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026, TotalEnergies CAF Champions League 2026/27, and the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2026/27. Together, CAF and Suzuki aim to elevate fan engagement, celebrate football excellence across the continent, and strengthen CAF’s global commercial platform.
“Sport has the power to bring people together,” said Yusuke Kato. “Through this partnership, we aim to strengthen the links between Suzuki, football, and Africa, while further establishing our presence on the continent. We will continue to support all those who love football by bringing them the joy of mobility and enriching their daily lives.”

Suzuki Auto South Africa is proud to be part of this global collaboration, which aligns closely with the brand’s commitment to sport as a unifying force and a platform for community development. This builds on a series of local initiatives, including:
- Becoming the official vehicle partner and Premium Sleeve Partner of Orlando Pirates Football Club through a two-year agreement signed in July 2025.
- Partnering with Cricket South Africa as the official vehicle partner for both the Proteas Men’s and Women’s ODI teams.
- Sponsoring the Griqualand West Rugby Union, home of the Griquas, in 2024, supporting a team with roots dating back to 1886.
- Supporting grassroots rugby development via the Humanitarian Empowerment Fund, nurturing young Rugby Sevens talent at schools across Gauteng’s West Rand.
“As Suzuki Auto South Africa, we are thrilled to see our global brand contributing to the growth of football across the continent,” said Henno Havenga, General Manager of Sales and Marketing. “This partnership with CAF is a natural extension of our local initiatives, from football and cricket to rugby and grassroots programmes. Sport unites communities and creates opportunities, and we are proud to be part of that journey. We look forward to kicking off in Morocco on 21 December and wish all teams the best of luck.”
With this partnership, Suzuki continues to champion the spirit of African sport, celebrating talent, passion, and community both on and off the field.
