Suzuki has officially entered the electric age. The e Vitara, the brand’s first fully electric vehicle, is now on sale across the UK in Motion and Ultra grades. As one of Suzuki’s most recognisable and beloved models, the Vitara name now evolves into a new generation of electrified adventure—combining the brand’s authentic SUV DNA with the cutting-edge HEARTECT-e platform developed exclusively for battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
Manufactured at Suzuki’s Gujarat facility in India, the e Vitara sets the stage for the brand’s global EV strategy, beginning with the UK and Europe before expanding to other markets including India and Japan.
A Familiar Face, Electrified
From the outset, the e Vitara retains the robust, confident presence that has long defined Suzuki’s SUV range. Its design theme, ‘High Tech and Adventure’, captures the balance between digital sophistication and authentic capability.
The e Vitara features deeply sculpted body lines, a long 2,700mm wheelbase, and short overhangs that communicate strength and agility. The flat floor construction enabled by its compact electric drivetrain gives the SUV its distinctive stance, while the ALLGRIP-e dual-motor system—available on both Motion and Ultra models—adds genuine all-terrain confidence.
For the perfect finishing touch, Motion models ride on 18-inch machined alloy wheels, while the Ultra steps up to 19-inch cast alloys. Eleven single and dual-tone paint finishes are offered, with Land Breeze Green Pearl Metallic chosen as the launch colour.
Inside: Tech Meets Adventure
The e Vitara’s cabin echoes its exterior philosophy—modern, practical, and adventure-ready. The interior introduces a floating centre console, a D-shaped steering wheel, and ambient lighting across the centre tray and door panels with 12 selectable colours.
The integrated display system brings together a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch central infotainment display, offering seamless control over navigation, multimedia, and the Suzuki Connect suite of connected services—free for three years.
Those opting for Land Breeze Green Pearl Metallic or Splendid Silver Pearl Metallic on the Ultra grade enjoy a tan fabric/synthetic leather interior theme, while other models feature a refined grey trim.
Generous Standard Specification
Suzuki has always championed value—and the e Vitara continues that tradition. Even the entry-level 49kWh Motion grade comes impressively equipped with front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, smartphone integration, keyless entry and start, Dual Sensor Brake Support, and Lane Keep Assist, among other features.
Step up to the 61kWh Motion and you’ll gain heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and rear passenger heating outlets. The Ultra adds luxury appointments such as a panoramic glass roof, 360° camera, 19-inch alloys, Infinity audio with subwoofer, and wireless phone charging.
Both Motion and Ultra models with ALLGRIP-e add Trail mode, Hill Descent Control, and the confidence of electric 4WD.
Power and Range
The e Vitara’s lithium iron-phosphate (LFP) battery packs are available in 49kWh and 61kWh configurations, delivering competitive range and long-term durability.
- 49kWh Motion 2WD: 106kW power output
- 61kWh 2WD Motion and Ultra: 128kW power output
- 61kWh ALLGRIP-e (4WD): Dual-motor setup with a combined output of 135kW and 114Nm of additional torque
With the 61kWh 2WD model offering a WLTP range of 264 miles, the e Vitara comfortably meets the needs of both urban and long-distance drivers. The inclusion of a Heat Pump as standard ensures optimal range and efficient climate control even in colder conditions.
Charging is simple and flexible, with DC rapid charging from 10–80% in around 45 minutes, or home charging options including 7kW (9 hours) and 11kW (5.5 hours) AC systems.

HEARTECT-e Platform: Built for Electric
Developed specifically for EVs, Suzuki’s new HEARTECT-e platform is designed to enhance cabin space, structural rigidity, and crash performance. Its short front overhang and energy-dispersing frame architecture improve impact safety, while the battery’s low placement optimises balance and handling.
Safety, as always, remains central to Suzuki’s ethos. Every e Vitara includes an extensive suite of driver assistance systems: Dual Sensor Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Traffic Sign Recognition, Driver Monitoring System, and Adaptive Cruise Control, among others.
Suzuki Granted: The Electric Car Grant Reimagined
To make the switch to electric even easier, Suzuki has introduced ‘Suzuki Granted’—a self-funded offer matching the now-discontinued UK Electric Car Grant. Customers receive a £3,750 saving across the entire e Vitara range until 31 December 2025.
That brings the entry-level 49kWh Motion 2WD to an enticing £26,249, with the 61kWh Motion 2WD from £29,249. The range-topping Ultra ALLGRIP-e 4WD comes in at £34,049.
Suzuki is also offering a free Ohme home charger to customers ordering their e Vitara during this promotion.
Flexible Finance
For those preferring finance, Suzuki’s 2.9% APR PCP offer makes electric ownership even more accessible. The 61kWh Motion 2WD, for example, can be driven away for £299 per month over 47 months, with an initial £5,599 deposit.
A Confident Step into the Electric Future
With the e Vitara, Suzuki isn’t just entering the EV market—it’s doing so on its own terms. By retaining the practicality, rugged charm, and value-for-money philosophy that made the Vitara a global success, this all-electric evolution brings the brand’s spirit firmly into the modern age.
The e Vitara proves that electrification doesn’t have to come at the cost of personality, affordability, or adventure. It’s an SUV built for those ready to embrace the future—without leaving Suzuki’s trusted DNA behind.
