Subaru UK & Ireland gears up for an exhilarating weekend in Cumbria, aligning its adventurous spirit with the UK’s premier outdoor and lifestyle event
12 May 2025 – Subaru UK & Ireland has announced its headline sponsorship of the 2025 Keswick Mountain Festival (KMF25), reinforcing the brand’s commitment to outdoor adventure, durability, and family-friendly fun. Set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of the Lake District from 16–18 May, this year’s festival promises a dynamic mix of live music, sporting events, talks, and hands-on outdoor experiences for all ages.
Attracting over 15,000 visitors annually, KMF has carved out a unique niche as the UK’s leading sports and entertainment festival. From adrenaline-fuelled trail runs and mountain bike races to serene lakeside yoga sessions and inspiring talks, the three-day programme is a celebration of the natural world and the active lifestyles it inspires.
This new partnership is a natural fit for Subaru, whose vehicles are designed for people who live life on their own terms – people who value safety, reliability, and a little bit of rugged fun. As title sponsor, Subaru will be front and centre at this year’s festival, hosting activities, showcasing their 2025 model range, and immersing attendees in the world of all-terrain adventure.
“We’re delighted to have partnered with the Keswick Mountain Festival, becoming the title sponsor for 2025,” said Lyndsey Flood, Head of Marketing at Subaru UK and Ireland. “We’re known around the world for building cars for people who love adventure and aren’t afraid to stray a little off the beaten track, so KMF25 really is the perfect fit for our brand.”
Festivalgoers will get an up-close look at the all-new 2025 Subaru Forester, a rugged All-Wheel Drive SUV designed for those with a passion for the outdoors. The vehicle will take pride of place at the Subaru stand, while a Subaru-branded photo point will offer panoramic views over the Lake District’s dramatic mountain scenery.
A key highlight of the weekend will be the Subaru Open 5 Adventure Race, held on Sunday 18 May. This demanding five-hour challenge – a test of endurance and strategy – invites solo athletes and pairs to compete across mountain biking, trail running, and navigation disciplines. It’s a thrilling contest of skill, resilience and spirit that echoes Subaru’s own ethos: safe, tough, and fun.

“With the KMF held where it is – surrounded by the challenging, rugged terrain of the Lake District – it provides the ideal backdrop to showcase what makes our vehicles truly special,” Flood added. “We can’t wait to engage with the festival community later this month in one of Britain’s most spectacular natural settings.”
Jamie Simpson, Marketing & Commercial Director at Keswick Mountain Festival, also welcomed the collaboration:
“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Subaru UK & Ireland as title sponsor for KMF25. Their commitment to adventure and connection with the outdoors aligns perfectly with everything our festival stands for. KMF is all about inspiring people to push boundaries, try something new and embrace the stunning natural environment we’re lucky enough to call home — values that Subaru not only shares, but lives.”
The Festival Village at Crow Park, Keswick (CA12 5DJ) will serve as the hub of activity, with sweeping views of Derwentwater and the surrounding fells. Open to the public from midday on Friday, and from 09:00 on Saturday and Sunday, the village will transition to a ticketed evening programme of music and talks from 17:00 on both Friday and Saturday. The festival concludes at 17:00 on Sunday.
Whether you’re scaling peaks, racing trails, soaking in live performances or discovering your next adventure vehicle, KMF25 – now powered by Subaru – is shaping up to be the ultimate outdoor celebration of 2025.
