Subaru (UK) Ltd Sees Remarkable 30.2% Sales Growth in First Half of 2024
8th July 2024 – Subaru (UK) Ltd has achieved a significant milestone in the first half of 2024, registering a 30.2% increase in vehicle sales compared to the same period in 2023. By the end of June, Subaru had sold 1,426 new vehicles, reflecting the brand’s robust performance in the UK automotive market.
This impressive growth has outstripped the overall UK automotive industry, which saw a 6.01% increase in vehicle registrations, totaling 1,006,763 units according to the latest data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Subaru’s performance has positioned it among the top ten fastest-growing automotive brands in the UK for the year so far.
A key driver of this success has been the all-electric Subaru Solterra, which contributed 27% to Subaru’s sales mix, marking the highest proportion achieved by the model since its introduction. This accomplishment places Subaru at the forefront of electric vehicle (EV) sales among brands that offer both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles and EVs in their UK model lineup.

In addition to the Solterra, the Subaru Outback has proven to be a significant contributor, accounting for 29% of the brand’s total sales during this period. It stands as Subaru’s best-selling model of 2024, closely followed by the Solterra. The Forester also made a strong showing with a 23% share of sales.
Subaru’s range of SUVs continues to resonate with consumers, offering robust, practical, and confidence-inspiring vehicles that excel in various environments, from urban streets to rugged countryside and off-road trails. With up to 220mm of ground clearance, permanent Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive, and the brand’s acclaimed X-MODE off-road system as standard, Subaru’s SUVs deliver outstanding capability and traction, ensuring exceptional performance regardless of weather or terrain conditions.
