Pretoria, South Africa, 14 May 2024: Sheldon van der Linde and Enzo Fittipaldi made impressive strides at the 2024 Berlin Formula E Rookie Test, both showcasing their talent and potential for Jaguar TCS Racing.
South African driver Sheldon van der Linde, returning for his fourth rookie test with Jaguar TCS Racing, consistently demonstrated his skill. He secured P4 in the first session and improved to P3 in the second session, highlighting his familiarity and proficiency with the Jaguar I-TYPE 6.
“The fourth Rookie Test with the team was a fantastic experience, and it’s always a pleasure to drive the Jaguar I-TYPE 6,” van der Linde said. “Finishing P4 in the morning and P3 in the afternoon made for a very successful day. Additionally, we tested some new setups that will hopefully benefit Mitch and Nick as they compete for the World Championship in the final six races of the season.”

Meanwhile, Brazilian driver Enzo Fittipaldi completed his first official rookie test for Jaguar TCS Racing at the Tempelhof Circuit. Making his debut in the Jaguar I-TYPE 6 and in electric racing, Fittipaldi finished the first session in P13 and made significant progress to achieve P6 in the second session.
“Driving the Jaguar I-TYPE 6 for the first time, and experiencing electric racing, was a unique and enjoyable challenge,” Fittipaldi remarked. “The complexity of the systems was a new experience, but I adapted quickly. It was especially meaningful to follow in my brother’s footsteps, who previously tested with Jaguar. Overall, it was a positive experience for both myself and the team. I appreciate Jaguar TCS Racing for this opportunity.”
The Rookie Test followed Jaguar TCS Racing’s most successful Formula E race weekend to date, amassing 65 points over the double-header in Berlin.
Next, the 2024 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship heads to Shanghai, China, for rounds 11 and 12 on Saturday, 25 May, and Sunday, 26 May.
