Midrand, South Africa – September 15, 2025 – Stellantis’ leadership reaffirmed its enduring commitment to Türkiye this week as Chairman John Elkann and CEO Antonio Filosa visited the country alongside Samir Cherfan, Chief Operating Officer for Middle East & Africa. The visit underscored the long-standing partnership between Stellantis and Koç Holding, highlighting Türkiye’s pivotal role in the company’s operations across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
During their visit, Elkann and Filosa engaged directly with the Tofaş teams in Bursa, celebrating the joint venture’s over fifty-year legacy of excellence in automotive production. Their discussions focused on leveraging this shared heritage to address the evolving needs of Turkish customers while supporting Stellantis’ selective growth across the MEA region.
“Türkiye is a country of industrial strength, talent, and strategic relevance,” said John Elkann, Chairman of Stellantis. “Our partnership here is built on trust and performance, supporting Stellantis’ growth in Türkiye while complementing our broader regional presence.”
Tofaş, a cornerstone joint venture between Koç Holding and Stellantis, has played a critical role in shaping the automotive landscape in Türkiye and beyond. Over the past four years, Tofaş and Stellantis Türkiye have achieved notable milestones, including market leadership across key segments, a +56% increase in volume, a bold renewal of their product portfolio, and strengthened customer trust nationwide.

“The journey we’ve taken together reflects the strength of our collaboration and the ambition we share—to grow further in the MEA region and to offer our customers the freedom to choose exciting products,” said Antonio Filosa, CEO of Stellantis. “Türkiye is central to this ambition. We are committed to staying close to the market, responding with agility to local expectations, and continuing to build long-term value for our customers and communities.”
The visit also served as a moment to recognise the dedication of Tofaş’ workforce—from engineering and production to commercial and customer services—whose expertise and passion continue to drive Stellantis’ success in Türkiye. The company’s leadership emphasised that this human capital remains at the heart of Stellantis’ strategy to deliver sustainable growth and innovation in the region.
As Stellantis looks ahead, Türkiye remains a strategic hub for both local and regional operations, combining a legacy of industrial excellence with a forward-looking vision that positions the company to meet the demands of an evolving automotive market in the MEA region.
