The Sporting Bears Motor Club is gearing up for another exciting year of Dream Rides, with plans to attend more than 60 events across the UK in 2026. The legendary fundraising group, known for offering unforgettable passenger rides in supercars, classics, and quirky film cars, began the season in March at the Practical Classics Restoration Show in Birmingham, and it shows no signs of slowing down. From thrilling weekend events to major shows, the club will bring smiles, excitement, and crucial funds for local children’s charities throughout the year.
Attending events and giving Dream Rides remains at the heart of Sporting Bears’ mission. Their calendar is packed, with highlights including the South of England Showground in West Sussex in April, Supercarfest at Sywell Aerodrome in May, the Silverstone Classic in July, Beaulieu Supercar Weekend in August, and the British Motor Show at Farnborough later in the summer. The relaunched CarFest at Silverstone also promises to be a spectacular finale to a busy season. Every ride is more than a thrill; it’s a chance for car enthusiasts to make a tangible difference by donating to charity and helping create magical moments for children.
Andrew Lake, the club’s new chairman, says, “Our eight regional groups are back on the road, and 2026 is shaping up to be our most exciting Dream Rides season yet. From supercars to smiles, this year’s programme delivers unforgettable experiences, all while raising vital funds for amazing causes across the UK. There really is something for everyone – wherever you are.”
Since its formation in 1989, Sporting Bears has raised more than £4 million for children’s charities, including £312,000 in 2025 alone. Supporting over 70 children’s charities each year and having helped more than 400 charities to date, the club’s impact reaches far and wide. The announcement of surpassing the £4 million milestone was made by Mike Brewer at the Practical Classics Restoration Show, with the club’s beloved mascot, Whizzo, adding a touch of fun to the celebration.
The Sporting Bears Motor Club continues to welcome new members, whether you own a special car to offer for Dream Rides, are skilled at organising events, or enjoy marshalling cars around busy event garages. Everyone can join, ride, or cheer, because making dreams come true is at the heart of everything the club does. With thousands of Dream Rides undertaken each year and every penny raised going directly to children’s charities, the Sporting Bears Motor Club remains a beacon for both automotive passion and charitable impact.
