Johannesburg, November 2025 – Following the resounding success of last year’s SpannerTorque Pavilion, MIWA returned to Automechanika Johannesburg with another dedicated showcase, and the response from the automotive aftermarket community was overwhelmingly positive.
The feedback from attendees spoke volumes: an exceptional venue, high-quality leads, valuable networking opportunities, and prominent brand exposure for SpannerTorque and its participating suppliers. As South Africa’s premier automotive aftermarket event, Automechanika continues to offer an unmatched platform for connecting industry stakeholders, and the Pavilion reinforced the value of MIWA’s engagement in this space.
A highlight of the Pavilion was MIWA’s dedicated hospitality lounge, designed to provide a relaxed yet professional environment where members, suppliers, and industry players could connect, collaborate, and share insights. Mirroring international best practices, the lounge proved to be a major success and is set to return at next year’s event.
MIWA extends sincere thanks to the exhibitors who supported this year’s showcase, including Bosch, EquipTech (distributors of LAUNCH in South Africa), Shell, DRiV, Mahle, GUD, Hella, ATE, and GreenDrive. These partners brought their latest innovations, diagnostic solutions, and workshop technologies to the Pavilion, providing attendees with hands-on exposure to the tools shaping the future of the aftermarket.
Equally important was the contribution of MIWA staff, who were on hand throughout the event to manage the Pavilion and assist members and visitors alike. Their efforts ensured a seamless experience for all participants.
Since its launch in 2024, SpannerTorque has become a recognised platform for engagement, education, and innovation. Featured across MIWA’s national communications and showcased at flagship Motor Mech events nationwide, it has emerged as a critical channel for highlighting the cutting-edge products and technical advancements that support South Africa’s independent workshops.
Automechanika 2025 provided the ideal stage to extend this engagement. Members had the opportunity to connect directly with partners, while suppliers gained access to a wider membership base and key industry stakeholders. The Pavilion demonstrated the value of direct collaboration and reinforced the role of SpannerTorque as a bridge between MIWA members and the suppliers driving innovation in the sector.
More than an exhibition, Automechanika serves as a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, relationship building, and brand visibility. For MIWA, the SpannerTorque Pavilion not only highlighted the organisation’s commitment to the professional growth of its members but also strengthened its partnerships with leading suppliers shaping the future of South Africa’s automotive aftermarket.
