MEET SOME OF THE CULINARY TALENT

True Love magazine’s food editor, MOKGADI ITSWENG, is a gifted chef. As the creative director and head chef for Lotsha Home Foods, Mokgadi develops food products based on African recipes; her first two products are already on shelves in Gauteng. Mokgadi has been featured on TV and has developed recipes for Oprah Magazine SA, Food & Home, and House & Garden. Chef DORAH SITOLE has written three cookbooks, including “Cooking from Cape to Cairo”, and co-authored two recipe books. She was featured in Gwynne Conlyn’s “Food Gurus Uncovered” as one of SA’s top chefs. A former food editor for True Love, she now works as a freelance writer and stylist, doing what she loves most: developing and testing recipes, writing about food, nutrition and travel, styling food for magazines and TV, doings dems, and teaching.
After qualifying at Bournemouth College in the UK, EDWARD CLEGG returned to his home in South Africa. He has worked at the Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town, and the Westcliff Hotel, Castle Kyalami and the Michelangelo Hotel in Joburg. As well as being a member of Culinary Team South Africa, Edward recently started his own company, Dinner Boyz, where he hosts and caters for an assortment of events, ranging from chefs tables to dinner parties. DEENA NAIDOO won the demanding and prestigious first “MasterChef South Africa” competition in 2012. Hailing from Chatsworth, Deena’s greatest inspiration to cook came from observing the love and care his late mom took when she prepared her dishes. He has recently joined the Fry’s Family to develop the new Authentically Durban range.
