Cirencester, UK – 7 August 2025 – Skywell UK continues its strategic expansion across the United Kingdom with the addition of three new retail locations in Eastern England, as well as the enhancement of its aftersales infrastructure with the appointment of an EV-dedicated service centre in North London.

This latest development sees Skywell partner with two highly respected, multi-generational, family-owned motor groups: Abbeygate Cars and JS Holmes. Together, these new appointments further strengthen Skywell’s growing national network, with a particular focus on Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, bringing the brand’s innovative range of electric vehicles closer to more customers in the East of England.

Abbeygate Cars: Double Appointment in a Landmark 50th Year

In a significant milestone year marking five decades of operation, Abbeygate Cars has added not one, but two Skywell franchises to its established retail network.

Located just 30 minutes west of Norwich, Abbeygate’s Wymondham showroom on Norwich Road will now offer the full Skywell experience — from new and used vehicle sales to comprehensive aftersales support. The site boasts a modern workshop with EV-qualified technicians and a well-stocked parts department, ensuring a seamless ownership journey for customers.

Further reinforcing Skywell’s presence in Norfolk, Abbeygate’s Attleborough showroom — less than 30 minutes from Thetford and north of Diss — will also represent the brand. This dual-site appointment allows Abbeygate to offer enhanced regional coverage while supporting the rollout of Skywell’s BE11 family SUV and upcoming model range.

Gareth Bailey, Operations Director at Abbeygate Cars, commented:

“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we offer a comprehensive service in a relaxed, friendly, and non-pressured environment. Our partnership with Skywell is a fantastic opportunity and a new chapter for us in both our Wymondham and Attleborough showrooms. We join Skywell at an exciting time and look forward to showcasing the brand across Norfolk.”

JS Holmes: Celebrating 70 Years with a Forward-Looking Partnership

Meanwhile in Cambridgeshire, family-owned JS Holmes celebrates its 70th year with the appointment of Skywell at its Wisbech St. Mary location. The site, which has recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment, now features Skywell models alongside a curated selection of new and used cars and commercial vehicles.

In addition to retail, JS Holmes offers a robust suite of aftersales services including an accident repair centre, EV-ready workshop, and a local vehicle recovery operation – positioning it as a key player in Skywell’s regional rollout.

Alex Holmes, Sales Director at JS Holmes, said:

“At JS Holmes, we’re always looking ahead, and partnering with Skywell reflects that vision. As a new and exciting brand with a promising future in EV technology and innovative product line-ups, Skywell represents the kind of forward-thinking brand we want to bring to our customers. We’re excited to work together and be part of their journey as they grow.”

Strengthening Aftersales: EV Service Hub Joins as Approved Repairer

Complementing its growing retail network, Skywell has also appointed EV Service Hub in Tottenham, North London, as an official approved repairer. Uniquely focused on electric and hybrid vehicles, EV Service Hub brings deep technical knowledge and modern facilities to the table — including a specialist focus on private hire vehicles, licensed taxis, and fleet-based electrified LCVs.

David Clark, General Manager of Skywell UK, welcomed the latest appointments:

“At such a significant milestone in both companies’ histories, the team at Skywell are thrilled to welcome Abbeygate Cars and JS Holmes to our growing network of UK Dealers. Both are deeply rooted in their communities, with a passion for the automotive industry and a clear commitment to customer service.

“Likewise, expanding our approved repairer network is vital to supporting our UK customer base. EV Service Hub brings a wealth of knowledge and technical expertise – proving that when you invest in the right people, you lay the foundation for an exceptional customer experience.”

Continued Growth Ahead

With these additions, Skywell’s UK retail footprint now stands at 13 sales locations — a significant milestone in the brand’s journey to becoming a major force in the British EV market. Further launches are planned for Q4, with new dealerships in Eastern Scotland, Manchester, Suffolk, and Kent on the horizon.

As the brand accelerates its momentum, Skywell remains focused on expanding access to its progressive range of electric vehicles, underpinned by strong local partnerships and a growing nationwide aftersales network.
