In honour of European Diversity Month, Škoda Auto has introduced the Elroq Respectline – a striking concept car that symbolises the brand’s deep-rooted values of respect, inclusion, equality, and fairness. Far more than a design statement, this vibrant EV serves as a powerful ambassador for a modern, human-centric corporate culture that is both proudly Czech and proudly diverse.
A Legacy Reimagined for the Future
Unveiled today in Mladá Boleslav and Hamburg, the Elroq Respectline draws a direct line between Škoda’s 130-year legacy and its forward-looking ethos. At the heart of its design is the iconic “háček” – the distinctive diacritical mark from the Czech letter “Š” in Škoda’s name. Playfully reinterpreted as a central design motif, the háček connects the brand’s Czech identity with its mission to foster inclusivity across all touchpoints.
The concept, developed collaboratively by Škoda employees, is not only an exercise in creative expression but also a testament to the company’s belief that diversity strengthens innovation, culture, and community. This belief is enshrined in the Next Level Škoda Strategy and supported by the long-term goals of its Diversity Strategy 2030.
Design That Speaks the Language of Respect
Visually arresting, the Elroq Respectline wears its message with pride. The Tech-Deck Face – Škoda’s signature front grille – has been reimagined with animated LED lighting in rainbow colours, an unmistakable tribute to the LGBT+ community and broader symbol of inclusion. The rainbow theme continues across the vehicle, creating an interplay of colour and form that underscores unity through diversity.
Inside, the Respectline fuses bold aesthetics with sustainable thinking. Recycled materials from the standard Elroq model are combined with vivid rainbow embroidery, embossing details, and multi-coloured décor elements – turning the cabin into a tactile, inclusive space that celebrates individuality.

A European Tour of Inspiration
Following its dual debut on 9 and 10 May at the Best Cars 2025 awards in Hamburg and Škoda’s in-house music festival in Mladá Boleslav, the Elroq Respectline will embark on a continent-wide journey. From Prague Pride to the Tour de France, and cultural landmarks such as the Metronome Prague music festival and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra’s Open Air concert, the Respectline will appear at key events throughout the year to share its message of unity, equality, and human dignity.
More Than a Moment – A Movement Within
The Elroq Respectline’s unveiling forms part of Škoda’s broader participation in European Diversity Month – now in its fifth year. Internally, the company is rolling out a series of events including talks, workshops, and engagement campaigns designed to raise awareness and foster dialogue among its workforce. These efforts reflect Škoda’s continued drive to build a workplace that is safe, inclusive, and open to all, in partnership with organisations such as the KOVO Union and other stakeholder groups.
Maren Gräf, Škoda Auto Board Member for People & Culture, summed it up:
“Diversity, equity, inclusion, and mutual understanding are cornerstones of Škoda’s corporate culture. With the new Elroq Respectline, we are introducing a Škoda brand ambassador that embodies these values… We are proud of our commitment to promoting human rights and mutual respect, and we believe the Elroq Respectline will help us carry these values even further.”
A Concept That Drives Conversation
In an age where automotive design is increasingly about values as well as velocity, the Škoda Elroq Respectline breaks new ground. It is more than a concept car – it’s a mobile manifesto, one that reflects the diverse voices of Škoda’s people and invites Europe to come together through respect and understanding.
