Milton Keynes, 27 March 2023. Škoda UK has announced the winners of its annual Retailer of the Year (ROTY) awards, with Rainworth Škoda in Mansfield taking top honours for 2022.
With retailers from across the Škoda network battling it out for silverware, the Retailer of the Year awards acknowledge the ongoing dedication and hard work displayed by the brand’s retailers in the past year. As in previous years, retailers fought it out over nine key categories which included Customer Experience, Finance and Digital Experience, with the top title being the coveted Retailer of the Year award.
In taking the Retailer of the Year honour, Rainworth Škoda Mansfield saw off tough competition from DM Škoda Grimsby and Simpsons Škoda Great Yarmouth who finished second and third respectively. Having represented Škoda since 2001, Rainworth and joint owners Jon Atherton and Simon Beckett, along with Group Sales Director John Budd, are no strangers to the top step of the podium with Rainworth Škoda Sheffield having won the same title in 2019.
Commenting on the awards, Kevin Rendell, Head of Network Sales, Škoda UK said; “We pride ourselves on customer service at Škoda and every year our retailer network goes above and beyond to deliver the best for our customers. In another year that has seen the industry face a number of challenges, our retailers have gone the extra mile to deliver great service to owners, both new and existing.”
Other big winners on the night were West End Garage Škoda (Edinburgh) who won the Digital Experience and Customer Experience awards, and DM Keith Škoda (Grimsby) who were named as victors in the People Excellence and Sales Scorecard categories. Johnson Škoda (Burntwood) also secured a brace of awards, topping the Used Vehicle Sales and Škoda Finance categories.
