Brand’s momentum in the fleet sector accelerates with a trio of major honours

Milton Keynes, 9 May 2025 – Škoda’s trajectory as a dominant force in the UK fleet market continues to rise, as the brand collects three major accolades at the prestigious Great British Fleet Awards 2025. Leading the charge, Škoda was named Fleet Manufacturer of the Year, a landmark win that underscores its ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation, and unbeatable value in the fleet sector.

The Czech automaker’s recent successes reflect more than just individual model performance – they represent a broader strategy that has struck a chord with both fleet managers and company car drivers alike. Offering a product line-up that deftly balances operational efficiency with premium features, Škoda has carved a distinctive space in an increasingly competitive market.

The judges praised Škoda’s well-rounded offering, remarking:

“Škoda, quite rightly, receives a lot of praise for its growing portfolio of electric vehicles, but it also deserves recognition for a strong overall line-up. The range offers something for everyone, with costs that are competitive and specifications that are hugely impressive. The brand’s ‘Simply Clever’ additions just add to the overall appeal and value.”

This latest Manufacturer of the Year title adds to Škoda’s string of accolades in recent years, but 2025 marks the first time it has clinched the top prize – a testament to the brand’s evolution and growing fleet presence.

Adding to the celebration, two of Škoda’s most recently launched models – the new Kodiaq and new Superb – were also recognised in their respective categories.

Kodiaq: Best Fleet Large SUV

The second-generation Kodiaq builds on the success of its predecessor, and the judges took note:

“The first-generation Kodiaq was a huge hit with drivers, and the replacement model has carried on the good work. Highlights include a fun-to-drive element, a wide range of powertrain options, and quality materials throughout. Strong RVs [residual values] add to the appeal of the Czech SUV.”

With enhanced comfort, versatility, and driving dynamics, the Kodiaq continues to strike a chord with fleet buyers looking for a spacious yet sophisticated SUV solution.

Superb: Best Fleet Executive Car of the Year

Meanwhile, the latest iteration of the Superb reaffirmed its place at the top of the executive class. Available in both hatchback and estate variants and offering petrol, hybrid, and diesel options, the Superb was commended for its impressive breadth of capabilities.

“Want limousine-type characteristics for a fraction of the cost? There really is just one option. The Superb once again lives up to its name and does so much so well,” said the judges.

A Leader for Today and Tomorrow

The awards come at a time when Škoda is further expanding its appeal to fleet customers with one of the youngest model line-ups in the industry. Alongside perennial favourites like the Octavia and Fabia, the brand’s transition into electrification – epitomised by the arrival of the new all-electric Elroq SUV – is setting the stage for sustained relevance and growth.

By delivering models that combine real-world efficiency with driver satisfaction and premium practicality, Škoda continues to strengthen its reputation as a fleet frontrunner – now officially recognised as the UK’s Fleet Manufacturer of the Year.
