Milton Keynes, 22 July 2024 – Škoda is set to revolutionize the all-electric SUV market with the introduction of its new Enyaq 50 and Enyaq 50 Edition models. These fresh entries into the Enyaq range promise to deliver impressive performance, substantial range, and advanced technology at a more accessible price point, starting from just £36,970.
The Enyaq 50 and Enyaq 50 Edition are designed to appeal to a broader audience by offering a more affordable entry into the world of electric SUVs. Both models come equipped with a 55kWh battery pack (52kWh net), which provides a range of up to 234 miles for the Enyaq 50 and 232 miles for the Enyaq 50 Edition on the WLTP cycle. This ensures that drivers can enjoy longer journeys with fewer charging stops.
Under the hood, both the Enyaq 50 and Enyaq 50 Edition feature a rear-mounted electric motor generating 170PS and 310Nm of torque. This setup allows the SUV to accelerate from 0-62mph in a brisk 9.1 seconds, with a top speed of 99mph. Charging capabilities are also robust: both models support a peak DC charge speed of 145kW and can be charged to 80% in approximately 25 minutes using a suitable DC rapid charger. On an 11kW AC connection, a full charge takes around five hours and 30 minutes. An eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty, guaranteeing a minimum of 70% capacity remaining, further underscores Škoda’s commitment to long-term reliability.

In terms of standard equipment, both the Enyaq 50 and Enyaq 50 Edition come generously appointed. Standard features include 19-inch Proteus alloy wheels, Loft interior Design Selection, and a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment display with navigation. Safety is a priority, with both models equipped with advanced safety features. The Enyaq 50 Edition builds on this with additional luxuries such as full LED Matrix beam headlights, full LED rear lights, heated front seats and steering wheel, and privacy glass. It also includes Crew Protect Assist, front and rear side airbags, a central interaction airbag, tri-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and cooled wireless charging (15W).
The introduction of the Enyaq 50 models replaces the previous Enyaq 60 variants, effectively reducing the cost of entering the Enyaq ownership by £2,000. The updated range now includes the Enyaq 85 Edition, Enyaq 85x Sportline Plus, Enyaq 85 L&K, and the high-performance Enyaq vRS, all equipped with a larger 82kWh battery pack (77kWh net).
With the launch of the Enyaq 50 and 50 Edition, Škoda is not only making electric mobility more accessible but also enhancing the overall appeal of its SUV lineup. These models exemplify Škoda’s commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable, and technologically advanced vehicles to a growing audience of eco-conscious drivers.
