Milton Keynes, 20 November 2025 – Škoda has once again demonstrated why it is a force to be reckoned with in the UK automotive market, with three of its models honoured at the 2026 Carwow Car of the Year Awards. The all-electric Enyaq claimed the coveted Smart Spender award, while the Kodiaq and Elroq earned Highly Commended recognition in the Adventurer’s Choice and Family Values categories, respectively.
Leading the charge was the Škoda Enyaq, the brand’s first purpose-built electric SUV, which impressed judges with its exceptional value for money. The Smart Spender accolade recognises vehicles that deliver outstanding cost-effectiveness without compromising quality, and the Enyaq’s combination of long-range capability, practicality, and engaging driving dynamics made it a standout.
Mat Watson, Chief Content Officer at Carwow, explained the decision: “Gauging value-for-money can be tricky – pricing and finance deals change constantly. I asked our leasing partner, Carwow Leasey, which models consistently offered fantastic value throughout 2025. The all-electric Škoda Enyaq was the biggest highlight. Not only has it been reliably low cost and great value to lease, it’s also a brilliant car – long-range, practical and good to drive.”
The Škoda Kodiaq continued its streak of recognition, being Highly Commended in the Adventurer’s Choice category for the second consecutive year. The seven-seater SUV won over the judging panel with its blend of rugged capability and family-friendly practicality. Watson added: “If you want almost all of the capability of a big, expensive SUV, but without the high price tag or huge running costs, then a Škoda Kodiaq is the car for you.”
Rounding off Škoda’s triple triumph, the Elroq was Highly Commended in the Family Values category. As the brand’s most affordable all-electric SUV, the Elroq impressed the Carwow panel with its thoughtful design, long driving range, and the ‘Simply Clever’ features that have become synonymous with Škoda. Watson remarked: “The Škoda Elroq is one of those cars that I almost didn’t need to drive to know what it would be like – but predictability is no bad thing. It’s essentially a smaller version of the already brilliant Enyaq: comfortable, spacious, and loaded with features. With up to 360 miles of range and a comfortable ride, it’s a complete package.”
Škoda’s success at the Carwow awards is part of a wider pattern of recognition for the brand in 2025. The Superb won the Comfortable Cruiser category last year, while the Kodiaq claimed a Buy It award in 2023. Across the UK automotive industry, Škoda has amassed numerous accolades, including Manufacturer of the Year at the Great British Fleet Awards 2025, Best Fleet Large SUV for the Kodiaq, and Best Fleet Executive Car of the Year for the Superb. The momentum continued at the Auto Express New Car Awards 2025, where the Elroq won Best Mid-Size SUV and was also named Overall Car of the Year, while the Superb secured Best Family Car at the UK Car of the Year Awards 2025.
With this latest haul from Carwow, Škoda reinforces its reputation for delivering vehicles that combine style, practicality, and value, catering to drivers seeking reliability, innovation, and affordability in equal measure.
