Mladá Boleslav, 19 January 2026 – Škoda Auto has reached a milestone year, delivering 1,043,900 vehicles worldwide in 2025, marking a 12.7% increase compared with the previous year and recording its strongest performance in six years. In Europe’s core market (EU 27+4), the brand delivered 836,200 vehicles, climbing to third place among all manufacturers – an unprecedented achievement for the Czech carmaker.
This record performance reflects Škoda’s dynamic approach to customer needs, with the company’s electrified models taking centre stage. Deliveries of battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) doubled to 174,900, while plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) rose to 43,800 units, meaning one in four Škoda vehicles in Europe now features a plug. Škoda’s BEV range – led by the Elroq and Enyaq – helped the brand secure fourth place among Europe’s top-selling electric vehicle manufacturers, underlining its growing influence in the electromobility sector.
Strong European Core Market Performance
Germany remained Škoda’s largest market, with 211,100 vehicles delivered (+12.8%), followed by the Czech Republic (91,800), the United Kingdom (83,300), Poland (65,200), and France (50,800). Other European markets also saw notable growth, particularly Denmark (+6,800) and the Netherlands (+5,900).
Škoda’s model line-up continued to resonate with customers. The Octavia remained the top choice, with 190,300 units delivered, surpassing one million units sold since launch of the current generation. The Kodiaq (130,400), Kamiq (125,900), and Fabia (119,100) also contributed to the brand’s robust sales performance.
Accelerated Electrification
The surge in electrified vehicle deliveries demonstrates Škoda’s commitment to sustainable mobility. In Europe, BEV and PHEV models accounted for 25.7% of total deliveries, a remarkable 116.5% year-on-year increase.
The Elroq emerged as a standout performer, ranking as the second best-selling EV in Europe and leading in the Czech Republic, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Slovakia. It also featured among the top three EVs in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The Enyaq, Škoda’s larger SUV, achieved top-three positions in the Czech Republic, Finland, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovakia, helping the brand secure a 6.8% market share among Europe’s EV manufacturers.
International Expansion Drives Record Growth
Škoda’s internationalisation strategy continued to yield results in 2025. In India, deliveries almost doubled to 70,600 vehicles, driven primarily by the popular Kylaq SUV. Škoda also launched local production of the Slavia and Kushaq in Vietnam and expanded its footprint across the ASEAN region and the Middle East.
Growth was further recorded in Turkey (45,100; +6.8%) and North Africa, with notable gains in Morocco (6,000; +37.1%) and Egypt (5,300; +32.9%). These results reflect Škoda’s ability to balance strong performance in established markets with rapid expansion in emerging regions.
Looking Ahead: Expanding the Electric Portfolio
Škoda Auto is set to double its all-electric portfolio in 2026 with the launch of two new models: the urban SUV Epiq and the seven-seater family SUV Peaq. These additions aim to make electromobility more accessible and affordable while broadening customer choice in sustainable mobility.
Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Škoda Auto, commented:
“Our deliveries surpassed one million vehicles in 2025, making Škoda the third best-selling car brand in Europe. This achievement reflects the dedication of our Škodians, the strength of our dealer partners, and the trust of our customers. With two new electric models, we will continue making electromobility accessible and delivering high-quality service across the entire customer journey.”
Martin Jahn, Board Member for Sales and Marketing, added:
“Our worldwide deliveries rose significantly, led by the Octavia and our electrified models, which helped us achieve fourth place among Europe’s BEV manufacturers. Growth in international markets, particularly India, reinforces our global strategy and the increasing appeal of the Škoda brand.”
Škoda Auto’s 2025 performance signals a pivotal moment in the brand’s history – a combination of record-breaking deliveries, accelerated electrification, and strategic global expansion. With a renewed focus on sustainable mobility and customer-centric innovation, Škoda is set to maintain its momentum, shaping the future of accessible, high-quality automotive solutions.
