Mladá Boleslav, 27 February 2025 – Škoda Auto has officially begun production of the next-generation all-electric Enyaq at its Mladá Boleslav plant. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor—a vehicle that captured over 250,000 sales and secured top positions in several European markets—the new Enyaq arrives with enhanced aerodynamics, advanced technology, and a focus on sustainability.
Pioneering Flexible Production
The new Enyaq is assembled on the same state-of-the-art production line as the recently introduced Škoda Elroq and the ever-popular Octavia. This flexible manufacturing setup allows Škoda to seamlessly adapt to fluctuating market demands, making Mladá Boleslav the first Volkswagen Group plant in Europe to simultaneously produce both internal combustion engine (ICE) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) models. In addition to manufacturing vehicles, the facility also produces battery systems for the Enyaq, Elroq, and other MEB-based models within the Volkswagen Group portfolio.
Andreas Dick, Škoda Auto Board Member for Production and Logistics, emphasized the strategic significance of this milestone: “The start of production for the new Enyaq family is a very special moment for our production teams. As Škoda’s first MEB-based model, its predecessor marked a major milestone in manufacturing, laying the foundation for the processes we benefit from today. Producing the new Enyaq family at our main plant underscores our commitment to the Czech Republic and strengthens our country’s role in the European automotive industry.”

Enhanced Design and Performance
The new Enyaq marks the brand’s second model—following the Elroq—to feature Škoda’s Modern Solid design language. This fresh styling approach seamlessly blends robustness, functionality, and authenticity, ensuring the Enyaq remains both visually appealing and aerodynamically efficient.
Key enhancements include a Tech-Deck Face front-end design and refined aerodynamics, with a drag coefficient as low as 0.245 for the Enyaq and an impressive 0.229 for the Enyaq Coupé. These improvements contribute to an extended range of up to 365 miles (WLTP) for the Enyaq Coupé and 359 miles for the standard Enyaq.
Powertrain Options and Cutting-Edge Technology
The Enyaq is available with two battery sizes and three powertrain configurations:
- Enyaq 60 – Single motor, rear-wheel drive, 204PS (150kW)
- Enyaq 85 – Single motor, rear-wheel drive, 286PS (210kW)
- Enyaq 85x – Dual-motor, all-wheel drive, 286PS (210kW)
Beyond performance, the Enyaq comes equipped with a wealth of standard features, including heated front seats and steering wheel, KESSY Advanced with Open-On-Approach and Walk-Away Locking, 3-zone Climatronic, Side Assist, Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control (pACC), and Traffic Jam Assist. The vehicle also boasts new digital functionalities such as Remote Park Assist and Remote Trained Parking.
Sustainability at the Core
In keeping with Škoda’s commitment to sustainability, the Enyaq’s interior is crafted using innovative and durable materials. Customers can select from six Design Selections, each integrating eco-friendly elements that enhance both comfort and aesthetics.
With production now in full swing and an average daily output of up to 300 units, the new Enyaq family is set to continue its predecessor’s legacy as one of Europe’s most sought-after electric vehicles. For those eager to explore the benefits of electric mobility, Volkswagen Group’s e-mobility platform, Enter Electric!, provides comprehensive insights into the transition to zero-emission driving.
As the automotive industry shifts further toward electrification, Škoda Auto’s investment in flexible production and innovative design ensures the Enyaq remains at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution.
