CHICHESTER, UK – July 9, 2025 — A decade of presence at the Goodwood Festival of Speed marks a significant milestone for Singer, the Californian marque revered for its obsessive devotion to restoring and reimagining air-cooled Porsche 911s. This year, Singer returns with two exceptional examples of its latest service – the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer – both a tribute to the brand’s craftsmanship and a nod to the wide-bodied 911 Carrera Super Sport of the 1980s.

This debut is not merely ceremonial. With over 500 bespoke Porsche 911 restorations delivered to clients across Singer’s Classic, Classic Turbo and DLS services, the 2025 Festival of Speed provides an ideal stage for Singer to unveil a car that not only celebrates its heritage but also resets expectations of naturally aspirated performance in the modern era.

“Singer first came to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2015, we fell in love with it, and we’ve been coming back ever since,” says Rob Dickinson, Singer’s Founder, Executive Chairman and Creative Director. “Our tenth year here is the perfect place to celebrate a new chapter with our latest services and honour the passion we share with our clients.”

A Celebration of the Naturally Aspirated Icon

At the heart of the new Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer lies a compelling innovation: a 4.0-litre, naturally aspirated flat-six engine developed in close collaboration with Cosworth. This latest-generation powerplant is built on the foundations of Porsche’s iconic Type 964 motor, and marks a number of technical firsts for Singer.

With four valves per cylinder, variable valve timing, air-cooled cylinders and water-cooled heads, the engine revs past 8000 rpm, delivering 420 HP through a rear-wheel drive layout and a six-speed manual transmission. The integration of an electronically powered fan and combustion chamber enhancements contribute to broadened torque, improved drivability, and a truly involving driving experience across road and track.

This powertrain is as much about art as it is about engineering. An exposed shift mechanism is available with a raised gear shifter, accentuating the tactile connection between driver and machine. Meanwhile, a bespoke titanium exhaust ensures the sound of the flat-six is as evocative as its lineage demands.

Built on Proven Foundations

As with all of Singer’s restorations, each Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer begins life as a customer-supplied Type 964. The transformation begins with a complete disassembly and evaluation of the original monocoque, which is then painstakingly restored and structurally enhanced. This critical reinforcement – engineered in collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies – ensures improved torsional rigidity while preserving the soul of the 964 chassis.

Carbon fibre is used extensively for the exterior body panels, not only to reduce mass and sharpen responses, but to reinterpret the silhouette of the wide-body G model 911 for the modern era. A choice of rear aero configurations, either fixed or speed-activated, echoes the versatility of period-spec Carreras, while modern airflow optimisations ensure the performance envelope is widened substantially.

Selectably deployable auxiliary driving lights offer visual theatre and functional utility, rising from the bonnet only when needed, and nestling flush when not in use – a hallmark of Singer’s balance between aesthetics and precision.

Driver-Focused Engineering

A key trait of Singer’s work is the seamless blending of old-school character with contemporary performance. Adjustable, electronically controlled, four-way dampers allow precise tuning from the cockpit and feature an integrated nose-lift system. These underpin a suspension system inherited from Singer’s Turbo programs, capable of delivering sublime ride comfort without sacrificing road feedback.

Stopping power comes courtesy of carbon-ceramic brakes housed behind 18” centre-lock wheels. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres ensure the flat-six’s output is confidently transferred to tarmac, while selectable drive modes (Road, Sport, Track, Off and Weather) let drivers tailor the car’s dynamic character to suit both environment and mood.

A Cabin Crafted with Devotion

The two cars on show at Goodwood demonstrate the breadth of personalisation available through Singer. Each interior reflects not only a reverence for detail but also the deep emotional connection between owner and car.

One car, finished in Celeste Passalacqua, features Mars Pink leather and velvet corduroy centres – a combination that took more than 400 hours of hand-stitched and burnished leatherwork to complete. Its companion, finished in Giallo Segnale, presents a more aggressive personality with Interferenza cloth and black leather, combined with a rear cross-brace and lightweight track seats.

Instrument clusters are painstakingly reimagined with watchmaking finesse, and discreetly integrated tech features such as navigation and CarPlay allow for modern usability without disrupting the analogue purity of the cabin.

Touring or Track, Built for You

The Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer is offered in a limited series of just 100 commissions. Whether inspired by long-distance touring or circuit-focused engagement, each car is a wholly individual expression of its owner’s vision.

For those who crave versatility, Singer even offers the option of dual body configurations – both fixed and active rear aero setups – stored in bespoke flight cases, allowing the car’s physical identity to be changed to suit occasion or preference.
