Simpson & Partners, renowned designers and manufacturers of electric vehicle (EV) chargers, has entered an exciting new chapter following its acquisition by a consortium of private investors. The newly formed company, Simpson & Partners (EV) Ltd, will be helmed by Paul Willcox, an automotive industry heavyweight with a stellar track record, as Chairman. This strategic move sets the stage for an ambitious growth phase, further enhancing the company’s position within the burgeoning EV market.

A New Era of Leadership
Paul Willcox brings a wealth of industry expertise to Simpson & Partners (EV) Ltd. His extensive career, which includes serving as Chairman of Nissan Europe and Managing Director of 14 automotive brands, uniquely positions him to drive the company’s growth strategy. As Chairman, Willcox will not only lead the business but also strengthen the management team, ensuring a seamless transition and future-focused development of the company.

Mandy and David Simpson, the original founders of Simpson & Partners, will continue to play pivotal roles within the newly restructured company. By remaining part of the management team, the Simpsons will ensure continuity, allowing the business to maintain its commitment to cutting-edge technology while expanding its product offerings and market reach.

The acquisition of Simpson & Partners (EV) Ltd follows the appointment of administrators to the original Simpson & Partners Ltd on July 25, 2024. The sale and transfer of the business and its assets were completed on September 16, 2024, providing the company with fresh investment and a solid foundation for future growth.
