Stuttgart/Münsingen. In taking delivery of its first S 516 HDH, Heideker Reisen GmbH becomes the first coach company in the south of Germany to acquire a Setra Top Class 500.
For managing director Richard Heideker who only uses coaches made by the Ulm-based brand on his exclusive tours, there was never any question of not treating passengers to the benefits of the next generation of Setra vehicles: “It was clear to me early on that the new flagship would take pride of place in our fleet.”

For this Swabian entrepreneur the three-axle vehicles’ high quality was a must-have and the ideal foundation on which to build a select travel programme. “Meeting demanding travel requirements is not just reflected in the use of exquisite hotels but most notably in the choice of vehicle. For this reason we have been loyal to the Setra brand for more than 50 years.”
Various assistance systems, which support drivers in all situations, ensure maximum safety on European roads. These include adaptive cruise control with the emergency assistant Active Brake Assist 2 (ABA2), which even responds in the case of a stationary obstacle and minimises the risk of accidents. The S 516 HDH satisfies every possible passenger requirement.

Heideker Reisen GmbH is the proud owner of the 75,000th Setra bus
In April 1952 the founder of the company, Reinhold Heideker, took over a small transport business that had been around since 1927 from his uncle. With an S 8 from the first Setra model series 10 he laid the foundation for the successful development and expansion of his tour business. From that time onwards all Heideker coaches have borne the Setra logo. In 2001 the company from the hilly landscape around Münsingen acquired a very special vehicle in the shape of an S 415 HD. This coach from the previous TopClass 400 series was the 75,000th Setra bus or coach to be delivered by the brand since it came into existence in 1951. At present there are a total of eight Setra touring coaches in the Heideker Reisen fleet.
Setra TopClass 500 honoured with international Red Dot award
The Setra TopClass 500 sees the brand showcasing a new touring sensation that combines luxury and functionality at the highest level. Just a short time after a successful start to series production in spring 2014 the new Setra flagship received a globally recognised seal of quality, the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2014.
