Sub heading: The South African Maritime Authority (SAMSA) sponsor’s the Johannesburg’s National Boat Show & Dive Expo, Africa’s Number 1 Boat, Dive and Leisure Show taking place from 7-9 September at the Coca-Cola dome.
SAMSA has for the second year in a row confirmed its role as the official presenting sponsor of Johannesburg’s official National Boat Show & Dive Expo.
SAMSA continues its nationwide safety campaign as South Africa looks forward to the summer boating and watersports season, and aims to increase the awareness of the current Boating Regulations and general safety in our waterways – inland and the open waters surrounding our coast.
According to Commander Tsietsi Mokhele – CEO of SAMSA, “The overriding mandate that has been given to the South African Maritime Safety Authority is the protection of life and property at sea including our inland waterways. As boaters form the bulk of SAMSA’s inland stakeholders, it is fitting for SAMSA to partner with the National Boating Show & Dive Expo to help increase awareness of the South African Maritime Safety Authority and to encourage boaters to comply with inland waterways regulations”.
SAMSA is encouraging the Boating community and all South Africans to be aware of the safety regulations that apply to our waterways.
