The Ford Fiesta is the sweetheart of Warrantywise’s extended warranty plans as it names the popular hatchback as its “most loved” model this Valentine’s Day. Stealing the hearts of drivers nationwide with its compact size and nimble handling, love is in the air as the Fiesta is proven to be the most popular used car covered by Warrantywise’s extended car warranty plans.

Despite production ending in July 2023, after a 47-year tenure, the beloved supermini’s enduring popularity among used car buyers is reflected as it tops the UK’s leading used car warranty provider’s chart for the “most loved” model, in accordance with sales popularity. With thousands of plans* issued for the Fiesta between December 2020 and December 2023, the car has earned its popularity through a combination of durability, fuel efficiency and a solid reputation for performance.

Ranking the top ten most popular and loved used cars based on the volume of warranties taken out, the rest of the chart is made up of a diverse mix of makes and models, with automotive giant Ford also securing the second spot with the ever-popular Focus model. The Vauxhall Corsa is third, the BMW 3 Series fourth, and the Vauxhall Astra fifth. In sixth place is the BMW 1 Series, the Nissan Qashqai is seventh and the Volkswagen Golf is eighth. Meanwhile, the Volkswagen Polo and Range Rover Evoque round up the ninth and tenth spots respectively.
