SURREY, UK (November 22, 2024) — Romans International, an esteemed name in the UK’s luxury car market, has earned a coveted spot among Europe’s Long-Term Growth Champions, a groundbreaking ranking by the Financial Times. Positioned at 288 out of the continent’s top 300 sustained-growth companies, the family-owned dealership becomes the only automotive business to secure a place in this inaugural accolade.

A Decade of Milestones
Romans International’s recognition follows a remarkable 11.1% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past decade. From generating €41.7 million (£35.3 million) in 2013 to achieving €115.9 million (£98.9 million) in 2023, the company’s trajectory underscores a consistent and strategic upward trend.

This latest honour marks Romans International’s second major Financial Times accolade, having debuted in the FT 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies list in 2017. Ranking 683rd at the time, the dealership distinguished itself as the only automotive company to achieve both recognitions, setting a precedent for the industry.

Sustained Success Amid Industry Challenges
The Long-Term Growth Champions ranking celebrates companies that achieve consistent excellence over a full decade, in contrast to the shorter-term focus of the FT 1000. The distinction reflects Romans International’s resilience and innovative strategies amid shifting economic conditions.

“Being recognised in the inaugural edition of the Financial Times’ Long-Term Growth Champions list is more than just an accolade – it’s a testament to our team’s dedication and our sustainable business approach over the past decade,” said Tom Jaconelli, Director at Romans International.

He added: “Achieving recognition from the Financial Times twice, in two different decades and for two distinct aspects of our business growth, is truly extraordinary. It proves that our success isn’t just about rapid expansion – it’s about building a sustainable, resilient business that continues to excel year after year.”

Romans International Driving Excellence To A Decade Of Sustained Growth

A Legacy Built on Excellence
Founded in 1994 by Paul Jaconelli and now helmed by his son Tom, Romans International has become synonymous with unparalleled expertise in supercars, luxury SUVs, and modern performance vehicles. Based in Banstead, Surrey, the dealership has earned a reputation as one of Europe’s foremost independent luxury car specialists.

Paul Jaconelli, Founder & Chairman, reflected on the milestone:
“When we established Romans International in 1994, we envisioned building something truly special in the luxury automotive sector. To be acknowledged by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s business growth champions, especially against the backdrop of significant economic challenges over the past decade, is incredibly encouraging for us as a business.”

A Formula for Long-Term Success
The company’s philosophy of prioritising exceptional vehicle preparation, coupled with a customer-centric approach, has cemented its standing in the competitive luxury automotive market. With an experienced and dedicated team, Romans International has continually delivered world-class service, setting the benchmark for the industry.

“Our inclusion among Europe’s Long-Term Growth Champions reinforces what we’ve always believed – that maintaining exceptional standards while focusing on sustainable growth is the key to long-term success,” concluded Tom Jaconelli. “This recognition from the Financial Times serves as inspiration for our future endeavours and validates our commitment to excellence in the luxury automotive sector.”

A Symbol of Resilience and Aspiration
Romans International’s achievement not only underscores its dominance in the luxury car market but also positions it as a standout business across the broader European landscape. In an era marked by economic volatility and industry-wide challenges, the company’s inclusion in this prestigious ranking is a testament to its unwavering dedication to innovation, resilience, and exceptional standards.

As Romans International celebrates its place among Europe’s elite growth champions, it continues to redefine what it means to succeed in the luxury automotive industry, driving forward with purpose, precision, and passion.
