In a breathtaking union of haute couture and automotive craftsmanship, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has revealed the Phantom Dentelle – a one-of-one commission that redefines the boundaries of elegance, personalisation, and artisanal detail. Commissioned as a deeply personal gift through Private Office Dubai, this singular creation draws direct inspiration from the intricate artistry of handmade couture lace.

At its core, Phantom Dentelle is a tribute not just to material luxury, but to the traditions of craftsmanship that transcend disciplines. It is a vehicle where the world of fashion meets the pinnacle of automotive design – and where the spirit of gift-giving becomes a timeless work of art.

A Motoring Expression of Couture

The muse for this exquisite Phantom was a rare and delicate lace sample, woven on a traditional Leavers loom – a technique prized for its ability to produce lace of extraordinary intricacy and three-dimensionality. The original piece featured floral motifs, pearl-like textures and subtle interplay of light – characteristics that Rolls-Royce designers have translated with reverence into both the interior and exterior of this singular motor car.

“This stunning Phantom Dentelle is an homage to the exquisite handmade lace used in some of the world’s leading haute couture ateliers,” explains Michelle Lusby, Bespoke Designer at Private Office Dubai. “Using the medium of embroidery, we translated this delicate material into our pinnacle product, which, in its uniqueness, beauty and craftsmanship, can be regarded as an authentic expression of haute couture.”

Rolls Royce Unveils The One Of One Phantom Dentelle An Embroidered Masterpiece Of Bespoke Couture

Interior: 160,000 Stitches of Silence and Spectacle

At the heart of the Phantom Dentelle’s interior lies the celebrated Gallery – a full-width fascia panel exclusive to Phantom, designed to house truly bespoke works of art. For this commission, the Gallery becomes a canvas of textile excellence: a complex embroidery composition inspired by lace, featuring over 160,000 individual stitches.

Informed by the techniques of embroidery ateliers, this layered artwork blends eight stitching styles across tonal hues of Rose Gold, Sunrise and Oatmeal. A delicate mesh base formed by triple-run stitches provides a lace-like foundation, over which satin threads build petal and fern motifs with a soft, silk-like gleam. Raised accents, echoing the gentle sheen of pearls, shift subtly in the light – mirroring the visual drama of a couture gown under the flashbulbs.

The motif continues in the rear Waterfall section, where around 70,000 additional stitches replicate the botanical composition, seamlessly uniting the front and rear cabins. Speaker grilles finished in Rose Gold further enhance the opulence of the design.

“The embroidery detailing… is incredibly complex and designed to capture the soft lustre of pearls,” notes Brienny Dudley of the Interior Trim Centre. “It brings a remarkable sense of movement and theatre to something entirely still.”

Inside, the elegance continues through the application of Sunrise and Grace White leathers, embroidered RR monograms on all headrests, and Piano White veneers. The result is a sanctuary of whispered luxury – refined, graceful, and utterly unique.

Exterior: Subtle Drama in Every Detail

The exterior of Phantom Dentelle is equally poetic. Rendered in a Bespoke two-tone finish, the lower body shimmers in Crystal over Arctic White, while the upper section is cloaked in Crystal over Palais Nemasker Dawn – a proprietary colour reserved exclusively for the commissioning client. A double Sunrise coachline sweeps elegantly along the shoulder, terminating in a hand-painted floral branch bearing pearl-like berries – an exterior expression of the interior’s lace-inspired theme.

Complementing this are 22-inch Fully Polished Disc wheels with Arctic White pinstriped centres, and a polished Pantheon Grille crowned with the Spirit of Ecstasy in resplendent Rose Gold. Matching treadplates engraved with Bespoke detailing round off a design that whispers of its own artistry.

Private Office Dubai: A Gateway to Bespoke Dreams

Facilitated by Rolls-Royce Private Office Dubai, the Phantom Dentelle is a testament to the marque’s promise of unparalleled personalisation. This invitation-only commissioning space offers clients across the Middle East direct access to Bespoke designers and exclusive materials, all within a private, serene environment tailored to creative expression.

It was within this world of quiet luxury and boundless possibility that the Phantom Dentelle came to life – a vehicle not simply built, but curated as a deeply personal gift from a son to his father.

Phantom Dentelle: Where Embroidery Meets Eternity

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Dentelle is more than a motor car. It is a physical narrative of love, heritage, and artisanal excellence – where every stitch, every shimmer, every flourish speaks of intent and intimacy. It stands as a symbol of how inspiration can be drawn from the softest lace and transformed into the most commanding form of automotive elegance.

Through Phantom Dentelle, Rolls-Royce once again affirms its position not just as a maker of luxury vehicles, but as a true curator of art on wheels.
