Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has opened applications for its 2026 Apprenticeship Programme, continuing a two-decade commitment to developing future talent at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood. Launched in 2006, the programme has become one of the most respected apprenticeship schemes in the UK, offering hands-on experience, nationally recognised qualifications and clear long-term career pathways within the marque.

The application window for all apprenticeship roles remains open until 28 February 2026. Candidates can apply online via the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars careers portal, where all available positions and role details are listed.

Over the past 20 years, the Apprenticeship Programme has played a central role in shaping the workforce behind some of the world’s most coveted motor cars. More than 200 apprentices have completed the scheme since its inception, with the majority still employed at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars today. Many former apprentices have progressed into senior managerial and specialist positions, a testament to the programme’s depth, rigour and long-term value to both participants and the business.

According to Matthias Treubel, Director of Human Resources at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, the programme remains a cornerstone of the company’s future talent strategy. He notes that apprentices gain practical experience across a broad range of disciplines, including manufacturing, engineering and project management, while contributing meaningfully to the continued development of the business. With qualifications available from Level 2 through to Level 6, the programme is designed to support a wide spectrum of ambitions, backgrounds and career goals.

The Apprenticeship Programme forms a key part of the wider Rolls-Royce Future Talent scheme, alongside Internship and Graduate programmes. Together, these initiatives ensure a steady pipeline of skilled, motivated individuals capable of sustaining the marque’s exacting standards of craftsmanship, innovation and client experience. Apprentices benefit from structured learning, mentorship and collaboration with experienced professionals, as well as formal qualifications delivered in partnership with local further and higher education providers.

Rolls-Royce is actively seeking applications from young people with diverse interests, experiences and educational backgrounds. Most apprenticeships will commence in August 2026, with opportunities available across several levels and specialisms.

At Level 2, equivalent to GCSE level and typically completed over two years, opportunities are available within the Interior Trim Centre, Vehicle Production, Industrial Sewing, and the Interior Surface Centre specialising in wood. These roles provide an introduction to the meticulous handcrafting processes that define Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, offering foundational skills in precision, materials and quality.

Level 3 apprenticeships, equivalent to A-Level qualifications and lasting three to four years, are available in areas including the Exterior Surface Centre, Vehicle Production, Vehicle Paint Engineering and Maintenance, and Metrology. These roles delve deeper into technical expertise, quality assurance and advanced manufacturing techniques, supporting the flawless execution expected of the brand.

For those seeking degree-level development, Level 6 apprenticeships run over four years and are equivalent to an undergraduate qualification. Opportunities at this level include Vehicle Quality Management, Production Maintenance, Site Services, and Sales Operations and Planning. These roles combine academic study with real-world responsibility, preparing apprentices for leadership, operational and strategic positions within the organisation.

The selection process for the 2026 intake has been carefully designed to ensure fairness, accessibility and alignment between candidates and roles. Applicants begin by creating a candidate profile and completing an online application, followed by an online assessment evaluating verbal and numerical skills. Successful candidates will then be invited to attend a face-to-face assessment centre in April 2026. Importantly, all applicants receive detailed feedback on their performance, reinforcing the programme’s developmental ethos even for those who are not selected.

This continued investment in people sits alongside significant investment in infrastructure and capability at the Home of Rolls-Royce. The company is currently undertaking a landmark £300 million-plus extension project at its Goodwood headquarters, the largest investment at the site since it opened in 2003. This expansion reflects Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ long-term commitment to handcrafting the world’s most complex, personal and valuable luxury motor cars, while delivering an unparalleled client experience.

By combining world-class facilities with comprehensive training and development programmes, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is reinforcing its belief that exceptional products are created by exceptional people. The 2026 Apprenticeship Programme represents an opportunity for ambitious individuals to begin a career at the very heart of a global luxury brand, contributing to its future while building skills and qualifications that will last a lifetime.
