The prestigious Festival of Speed, set within the historic grounds of the Goodwood Estate, serves as a grand stage for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars to present their latest innovations. This year, the marque’s stunning collection of bespoke motor cars is showcased on the Festival’s Laundry Green, near Goodwood House, reflecting the pinnacle of luxury and craftsmanship.
Rolls-Royce Cullinan
Since its debut in 2018, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan has redefined super-luxury SUVs, delivering the brand’s signature ‘magic carpet ride’ on any terrain. The latest iteration, Cullinan Series II, makes its UK public debut at the Festival of Speed 2024.
The evolution of Cullinan is marked by its verticality, inspired by illuminated skyscrapers in the megacities where it thrives. The new lamp treatment, featuring tall daytime running lights, ensures that Cullinan Series II is instantly recognizable, day or night. For the first time, the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine graces the interior, displayed in the new Clock Cabinet in the fascia. This unique feature includes an analog timepiece and an up-lit Spirit of Ecstasy, crafted from solid stainless steel and set against a matte black and high-gloss backdrop.
Cullinan Series II exemplifies Rolls-Royce’s bespoke capabilities, offering innovations such as Placed Perforation, a technique that creates intricate patterns in the leather. This design draws inspiration from the ever-changing clouds over the Home of Rolls-Royce. The new rayon fabric made from bamboo, named Duality Twill, furthers the marque’s exploration of textiles. At the event, Cullinan will be presented in Emperador Truffle, a sophisticated hue inspired by richly-veined brown marble, complemented by an Arctic White Coachline. The interior features a minimalist yet elegant Cashmere Grey and Chartreuse leather colorway with the intricate Placed Perforation pattern.
Rolls-Royce Spectre
The year 2023 was significant for Rolls-Royce, marking two decades since the Goodwood manufacturing facility opened and the beginning of client deliveries for Spectre, the marque’s first fully electric motor car. For the Festival of Speed, a vibrant expression of Spectre is showcased, presented in two-tone Peony Pearl and Black Diamond. This striking exterior is enhanced by 23-inch wheels and a trim Black Coachline. Inside, the Peony Pink and Arctic White color scheme complements the exterior, while the Starlight Headliner and Starlight Doors, adorned with 4,796 illuminated stars, create a celestial ambiance.
This year also marks the 120th anniversary of the meeting between Charles Rolls and Henry Royce. To commemorate this milestone, each bespoke Phantom, Ghost, and Spectre at the event features a painted ‘sound wave’ design on the center console lid, conveying inspirational quotes from the marque’s founding fathers.

Rolls-Royce Phantom
Phantom, the epitome of luxury, continues to set the benchmark for excellence. The Phantom Extended offers a serene and spacious environment, perfect for recharging before taking on the world. This year’s Festival of Speed features a modern interpretation of Phantom, finished in a striking two-tone Diba Teal and Black Diamond, inspired by the glamour of the French Riviera. The Gallery within Phantom’s fascia displays an exquisite monochrome leather design with an embroidered wave pattern, a nod to the Riviera’s beauty, created with 47,319 stitches.
Rolls-Royce Ghost
Ghost, a study in reduction and simplicity, offers an unparalleled canvas for bespoke commissions. The Blue Crystal over Black Ghost presented at the Festival exudes timeless elegance, complemented by a Charles Blue Coachline. This minimalist approach allows the car’s exquisite materials and craftsmanship to shine through.
In addition to these masterpieces, Rolls-Royce introduces the Escapism Luggage Collection and the Kinetic Luggage Collection, designed to complement the Spectre and Phantom respectively, crafted from the finest materials for the discerning traveler.
Rolls-Royce’s commitment to bespoke luxury extends beyond motor cars to glamorous accessories, including personalized umbrellas and picnic hampers, showcasing the brand’s dedication to creating unparalleled experiences.
The Festival of Speed is not just a display of Rolls-Royce’s latest creations but a celebration of their rich heritage, innovative spirit, and unmatched craftsmanship.
