In a universe where imagination meets engineering excellence, Rolls-Royce has unveiled its latest Bespoke masterpiece: the Cullinan Cosmos. Commissioned by a family captivated by the mysteries of the cosmos, this one-of-one Cullinan transforms the familiar grandeur of a luxury SUV into a celebration of outer space, blending artistry, precision, and wonder in a singular vision.
A Celestial Vision Realised
At the heart of Cullinan Cosmos is a first in Rolls-Royce history – a fully hand-painted Starlight Headliner, painstakingly developed over 160 hours by one of the marque’s in-house artists. This ethereal interpretation of the Milky Way captures the hazy band of stars and cosmic mist visible across the night sky, with every detail rendered freehand to complement the vehicle’s Bespoke interior palette. “Space travel is an enduring fascination for the commissioning clients of this extraordinary one-of-one motor car,” notes Phil Fabre de la Grange, Head of Bespoke at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “Bold in its conception and spectacular in its realisation, this commission demonstrates how Rolls-Royce brings clients’ otherworldly visions to life with drama, depth, and absolute precision.”
The creation of the Starlight Headliner was an exercise in artistic innovation. More than 20 layers of acrylic paint were applied to build luminous depth, while a makeup brush allowed delicate pigments to settle into cloud-like formations, evoking the celestial mist of deep space. Stars were added using a combination of fine brushes and a speckling technique, resulting in a naturally radiant, organic field of light. Only after this painstaking painting were the fibre-optic perforations individually punched to align perfectly with the artwork’s contours.
Exterior Palette: Outer Limits
The exterior of Cullinan Cosmos mirrors the majesty of the universe it celebrates. Finished in Arabescato Pearl, the paint reflects light like the soft glow of moonlight, while a hand-painted twin coachline in Charles Blue adds depth and character. The Illuminated Spirit of Ecstasy completes the celestial theme, casting a gentle glow like a distant star when night falls. Every detail is designed to evoke the mystery and elegance of the cosmos, from the reflective sheen to the subtly layered colour gradients.

Interior Suite: Exploring Inner Space
Inside, the Cullinan Cosmos creates a serene, contemplative environment inspired by the stillness of deep space. The reclining seats combine Charles Blue and Grace White leather, complemented by matching contrast stitching and piping. Piano White veneers introduce a technical, high-gloss touch reminiscent of satellite casings.
A bespoke Star Cluster motif, co-created with the commissioning family, punctuates the interior as embroidered detail on the door panels and headrests and as a hand-painted artwork on the front passenger fascia. These cosmic accents fuse seamlessly with the Starlight Headliner, creating a fully immersive celestial cabin that transforms every journey into a voyage through the stars.
Private Office Dubai: Bespoke Excellence
Cullinan Cosmos was commissioned through Private Office Dubai, one of Rolls-Royce’s international Private Offices that allows visionary clients to collaborate directly with the Bespoke Collective. Through this partnership, the family’s dream was translated into a living work of art – a Rolls-Royce that captures both the imagination and the technical precision of the brand.
The commissioning family describes the result simply: “We wanted to create something our family would remember forever: a Rolls-Royce that captures the essence of the cosmos and shows that no dream is out of reach.” With Cullinan Cosmos, that dream is realised in extraordinary detail, blending luxury, craftsmanship, and a universe of inspiration.
Delivered for a special family occasion, Cullinan Cosmos stands as more than a motor car – it is a portal to the stars, a tangible expression of human creativity and cosmic curiosity, and a testament to Rolls-Royce’s enduring commitment to bespoke excellence.
