One year after the stunning debut of the Sacrilege Motors Blackbird, a reimagined all-electric 964 America Roadster, Phil Wagenheim and Bobby Singh return to the Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with another groundbreaking creation. On August 18, 2024, Sacrilege Motors will unveil Enigma, their first production coupe for sale, a meticulously restored 1990 widebody 964 coupe, now electrified and ready to capture the hearts of automotive enthusiasts once again.
A Masterpiece Reimagined
The Enigma is a testament to Sacrilege Motors’ commitment to preserving the essence of classic Porsches while propelling them into the future with electric power. This widebody, sunroof-delete coupe, finished in a striking Arabian Grey, exudes timeless elegance and modern sophistication. The bespoke interior, crafted with the finest Italian hand-stitched leather, offers a personalized driving experience. Vintage round gauges seamlessly blend with modern conveniences such as a center-mounted MagSafe charger and a Bluetooth audio system, providing the perfect harmony between past and present.
Engineering Excellence
Underneath its meticulously restored exterior, the Enigma boasts a state-of-the-art Fellten drivetrain. This custom motor delivers an impressive 500 horsepower and 500 newton-meters of torque, without increasing the weight of the original internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle. This ensures near-supercar performance while maintaining the nimbleness and driving feel that enthusiasts expect from a Porsche. Custom developed three-way adjustable Penske Racing shocks and Brembo six-piston brakes further enhance the driving experience, making Enigma a true driver’s car.
A Vision Realized
Phil Wagenheim, CEO of Sacrilege Motors, expresses his excitement about returning to Pebble Beach. “Our experience last year when we debuted Blackbird, and the global response we received, was truly overwhelming. We’re excited to return to showcase Enigma, our first coupe, to this very discerning audience. As a longtime Porsche owner, the goal from the start with this project was to preserve the unique experience of a Porsche. The steering feel, the handling, the braking, even the weight transfer, we set a very high bar for ourselves. Through our countless hours of engineering, and our outstanding partners at Fellten and Penske Racing Shocks, we think we’ve nailed it. The enthusiastic global response we’ve received demonstrates that our message is truly resonating with people everywhere.”
Bobby Singh, President of Sacrilege Motors, shares Wagenheim’s enthusiasm. “We’re engineering and developing our cars at Lime Rock Park, to deliver a true Porsche driving experience. Last year, the Pebble Beach attendees recognized what we achieved, crafting a lightweight electric sportscar for drivers. Our cars are certainly beautiful to behold, with so many incredible details, yet the driving experience is unlike anything available in any other vehicle. The Sacrilege Motors cars are so dialed in, and so responsive, they would be quicker than some of the purpose-built vintage racing machines battling it out over at Laguna Seca.”
The Future of Customization
Sacrilege Motors is not just about creating beautiful cars; it’s about delivering a unique experience tailored to each owner’s preferences. The new Sacrilege Motors Virtual Showroom, developed by Brigade, allows customers to design their dream build from the ground up. This virtual showroom provides complete control over every aspect of the vehicle, ensuring that each car is as unique as its owner. This innovative platform is available at SacrilegeMotors.com.

Sacrilege Motors continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible with their electric conversions of classic Porsches. Enigma is not just a car; it’s a statement, a testament to the harmonious blend of vintage aesthetics and modern performance. As Wagenheim and Singh prepare to unveil Enigma at the 2024 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the automotive world eagerly anticipates experiencing this remarkable fusion of past and future.
