Renault continues its strong association with the Roland Garros French Open, marking its third year as a premium partner of the esteemed tennis event, running from May 20 to June 9. During the tournament, Renault will spotlight the new Renault 5 E-Tech electric in a special Roland-Garros edition, alongside three additional vibrant models from the same line. These models feature unique color schemes such as pearl white, midnight blue, starry black, and an exclusive matte slate grey, all accented with chrome satin-finish roof trim and Ecrou 18-inch diamond-cut wheels in glossy black.
The design of the special series mirrors the grandeur of the Roland Garros venue itself, incorporating the Cross of Saint Andrew motif—a nod to the stadium’s architecture—across various elements of the car, including the lower front doors and roof design. The interior of the Renault 5 E-Tech electric sports refined light grey upholstery, made from fully recycled textiles inspired by athletic wear, enhanced with blue TEP-upholstered lateral supports and featuring the Roland-Garros logo.
Innovative Features and Sustainability
A key highlight inside the Renault 5 E-Tech electric is the e-pop gear selector, which draws inspiration from tennis racket grips, complete with the Roland Garros logo. For the duration of the French Open, Renault will provide a fleet of 180 vehicles, 88% of which are electrified, including models like the Scenic E-Tech electric and various E-Tech hybrids.
