Renault is set to electrify the city car segment in 2026 with the eagerly anticipated Twingo E-Tech electric, a model that promises to combine practicality, modularity, and a playful personality in one compact package. Following its reveal in November 2025, the electric city car will make its first public appearance at the Brussels Motor Show from 9 to 18 January, alongside Renault staples such as the Clio, Renault 4 E-Tech electric, and Renault 5 Turbo 3E.
Visitors will be able to explore Twingo E-Tech electric’s versatile interior, featuring independent sliding rear seats and a boot capacity of up to 360 litres. The launch will also showcase “Twingomania”, a collaborative programme introducing six innovative mobility objects developed by European start-ups. Each item reflects Twingo’s playful spirit through colour, design cues, and functionality, blending fun with sustainable, modern mobility.
The Twingomania lineup includes:
- Twingo Elwing – A compact electric skateboard weighing just 6.9 kg, capable of 25 km/h, with a 90-minute recharge time.
- Twingo Mo-Jet – An electric bodyboard offering 55 km/h top speed and rapid 45-minute charging, designed for both leisure and sport.
- Twingo Kahe – A multi-functional electric marine motor for boats, kayaks, and paddleboards, weighing 4.9 kg with up to 8 hours of autonomy.
- Pamela – An urban e-bike inspired by BMX culture, boasting a 70 km range and bold cargo-ready design.
- Vässla – A sleek electric urban scooter with Scandinavian-inspired lines, silent operation, 120 km range, and 45 km/h top speed.

Spring and summer promise more Twingo experiences
As spring unfolds, Twingo E-Tech electric will feature in international road tests for the press, highlighting the dynamic capabilities of its AmpR Small platform, including a 60 kW (82 hp) motor, 27.5 kWh LFP battery, and WLTP range of 263 km. Journalists will also explore its connected onboard features, functional layout, and cheerful interior design.
In Paris, Twingo Expo will open at le défilé Renault – the Carwalk on the Champs-Elysées, replacing the previous Cliorama exhibition. The spring exhibition combines past and present Twingo models in a dynamic showcase, leading into the Twingo Festival from 18 to 21 June, where music, performances, and interactive experiences will celebrate the car’s vibrant character.
Finally, Twingo E-Tech electric will take to the global stage at the Roland-Garros French Open from 18 May to 7 June, marking Renault’s fifth consecutive year as a premium partner, and cementing its playful, innovative image across sport and lifestyle arenas.
With a year-long programme of events, interactive showcases, and playful experiences, Renault is positioning Twingo E-Tech electric not just as a city car, but as a statement of cheerful, sustainable, and imaginative mobility for 2026 and beyond.
