Renault has once again demonstrated its electric vehicle excellence, sweeping the 2026 Parkers New Car Awards and cementing its status as a leader in the EV market. The French marque claimed four major honours, including the prestigious Car of the Year title for the second consecutive year.
The standout performer of the evening was the Renault 4 E-Tech electric, which not only took home the coveted Car of the Year award but also triumphed in the Best Small Family Car category. Joining the 4 E-Tech on the winners’ podium, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric was named Best First Car, while the celebrated Renault Scenic E-Tech electric retained its crown as Best Medium Family Car, replicating its success from last year.
Keith Adams, Editor of Parkers, praised Renault’s sweeping victory:
“Once again, Renault has absolutely swept the board this year, and it’s richly deserved. The Renault 4 E-Tech being named our ‘Car of the Year’ shows just how far the brand has come – it’s imaginative, beautifully designed and perfectly judged for the times. Add to that the Renault 5 E-Tech, which makes electric driving genuinely exciting for new drivers, and the Scenic E-Tech, which continues to set the standard for family EVs, and you have a brand on a real roll. Renault’s success across so many categories shows a company firing on all cylinders – bringing style, value and innovation to every part of the market.”

Adam Wood, Managing Director, Renault Group UK, added:
“We’re incredibly pleased and proud to retain the ‘Car of the Year’ title and once again lead multiple categories at the Parkers New Car Awards. It’s testament to the consistency, accessibility and desirability of our electric range, Parkers recognising our line-up as being perfect for everyone from first-time drivers to families.”
