Renault has strengthened its standing at the forefront of the light commercial vehicle sector, with the Renault Master once again securing the title of ‘Large Van of the Year’ at the 2026 What Van? Awards. The repeat win underscores the model’s consistency, capability and relevance to operators across the UK.

The celebration didn’t end there. The fully electric Master E-Tech was also recognised, earning a ‘Highly Commended’ accolade in the Zero Emissions Van category, further validating Renault’s strategic push toward cleaner, smarter mobility solutions.

The awards were presented during a vibrant ceremony at the Hilton London Bankside, where industry leaders gathered to honour vehicles, technologies and individuals shaping the evolution of the commercial sector. As one of the most respected titles in the industry, the What Van? Awards are regarded as a barometer of market innovation and performance.

James Dallas, Editor of What Van?, highlighted why the Master continues to impress: “The Renault Master is practical, refined, handles well on the road and possesses a cabin that provides a comfortable working environment. Built on a multi-energy platform means operators can find the best Master for their missions.”

That sentiment was echoed by Adam Wood, Managing Director and Country Head, Renault Group UK: “Winning Large Van of the Year for the second-year running is a fantastic endorsement of Renault Master. Its combination of versatility, efficiency, and the choice of traditional or fully electric powertrains makes it the ideal partner for a wide variety of UK businesses.”

A Benchmark for Versatility and Efficiency

The latest recognition serves as further proof of the Master’s position as a segment leader. Designed with an unwavering focus on everyday usability, the Renault Master offers load volumes ranging from 11 to 20 cubic metres, ensuring businesses across trades, logistics and fleet operations can tailor the model to their needs. Its improved payload capacity and ergonomic, operator-focused design continue to set it apart, delivering efficiency without compromising comfort.

Alongside its diesel variants, the Master E-Tech electric showcases Renault’s forward-looking approach to sustainable transport. The E-Tech’s 105kW motor generates 300Nm of instant torque, supported by an 87kWh battery capable of a WLTP-rated range of up to 285 miles. For operators working to demanding schedules, DC fast charging can add up to 142 miles of range in just 30 minutes, while the standard 22kW AC charger enables a full recharge from 10 percent to 100 percent in under four hours.

Adaptable. Efficient. Ready for Every Mission.

Available from £33,500 plus VAT for diesel models, and £37,500 plus VAT after PiVG for the Master E-Tech, the range delivers strong value for businesses seeking reliability, flexibility and future-proof innovation in their transport fleets.

With its repeat win and expanding capabilities, the Renault Master continues to define what modern large vans should deliver: practicality, performance and a seamless blend of energy options to meet the evolving demands of the UK’s commercial landscape.
