Renault’s deep-rooted partnership with fire services—spanning 15 years and 19 countries—has informed every element of vision4rescue’s design. Developed alongside three national fire services, the project also benefits from the collective expertise of Software République, a French technology consortium comprising seven leading companies specialising in secure, sustainable mobility solutions.
Together, this coalition has addressed one of the most pressing challenges faced by modern emergency response units: fragmentation of technology. The result is a unified, intelligent ecosystem that standardises equipment and communication systems for a more coordinated, responsive approach in time-critical scenarios.
High-Tech Backbone, Ready for Any Terrain
At its core, vision4rescue is a rugged, all-terrain vehicle built to serve in the harshest conditions. Like the Renault 4 Savane 4×4 Concept, it features a 15 mm raised suspension and permanent all-wheel drive thanks to an additional rear-axle electric motor. This off-road capability is crucial for reaching remote or disaster-affected areas where traditional vehicles falter.
The design isn’t just utilitarian—it’s purposeful. The striking Combustion Red bodywork, inspired by the flickering hues of fire, is sharply contrasted with fluorescent yellow-green lines that visually communicate urgency. “RESCUE” and “SAPEURS POMPIERS” are boldly emblazoned across the sides, while emergency numbers 112 and 18 ensure visibility and identification in the field.

The rear tailgate opens to reveal a split-level boot, where the upper section houses a retractable workstation complete with dual screens and a high-powered computer. Seats are upholstered with partially recycled, fire-resistant foam sourced from decommissioned firefighting suits, while the signature “PinPon” pattern—a whimsical reference to French sirens—appears throughout the cabin. The use of sustainable materials mirrors the 19.3% recycled content already found in Renault’s E-Tech electric range.
Practicality is paramount. A reflective strip on the rear door crosspiece enhances visibility in low-light or hazardous conditions. Ample stowage compartments keep helmets, rescue bags, and electronic devices securely in place and fully charged, ensuring responders are ready at a moment’s notice.
