Jaguar TCS Racing is gearing up for an exhilarating conclusion to the 2024 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship this weekend at the ExCeL in London. As the season finale approaches, the British team stands at the top of the Teams’ World Championship leaderboard with an impressive 322 points, holding a commanding 33-point lead.

This season has been a landmark year for Jaguar TCS Racing, marking their most successful campaign since joining the all-electric championship in 2016. The team has already surpassed their previous records for points and podium finishes, with their current tally of 322 points setting a new benchmark in Formula E history.

In the Drivers’ World Championship, Jaguar’s Nick Cassidy leads with 167 points, closely followed by teammate Mitch Evans with 155 points. This formidable duo has demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the season, and their dominance is expected to continue at the London E-Prix. Last year’s event saw Evans secure pole position and victory in Round 15, while Cassidy, then with Jaguar’s customer team Envision Racing, triumphed in Round 16.

Jaguar Tcs Racing Aims For Championship Win In London

Team Principal James Barclay expressed his pride and anticipation ahead of the final race weekend:

“I am extremely proud that we go into the final race weekend of the 2024 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship with Jaguar TCS Racing leading both the Teams’ and Drivers’ World Championship standings. We’ve been consistently quick this season and the whole team has worked incredibly hard to get us to this point.

“For the last four seasons we have gone into the final weekend in a position to fight for the Drivers’ or Teams’ Championships, and we are excited to be fighting for both titles again. Our 2024 campaign has seen us achieve our biggest points haul to date and alongside our customer team, Envision Racing, we’ve achieved 16 podiums so far matching last season’s total. This shows how competitive the Jaguar I-TYPE 6 is, and how dedicated both teams have been to maximise its potential. With just two rounds to go in London, we are very much looking forward to racing on home soil and will give it everything we have.”

Mitch Evans, driving the #9 car for Jaguar TCS Racing, is equally enthusiastic about the upcoming races:

“London is always a great track and I’m excited to return. Leaving Portland in second puts me in a great position for London, just 12 points from the top spot, so it’s given me a boost of confidence for sure. I’m determined to maintain a strong position for the team too and that we finish the weekend taking the Teams’ World Championship title. It’s going to be a hard, but we’ll be giving it everything we’ve got.”

Nick Cassidy, piloting the #37 car, is also ready for the challenge:

“I’m looking forward to returning to London – it’s one of my favourites of the season, especially after winning there last year. Portland was tough for me but I’m feeling positive having maintained my lead in the Drivers’ World Championship. Bring it on!”

The 2024 Hankook London E-Prix will see the lights go green at 18:00 on 20 and 21 July, promising a spectacular showdown as Jaguar TCS Racing aims to clinch both the Teams’ and Drivers’ World Championships on home soil.
