BICESTER – 17 June 2024 – Polestar has announced the appointment of Matt Galvin as the new Managing Director for its operations in the UK and Ireland, effective from 1st July 2024. With a distinguished automotive career spanning two decades, Galvin brings extensive experience from senior roles at Mercedes Benz UK, Volvo UK, Nio UK, and most recently, a global sales position at Polestar.
Galvin’s appointment follows the announcement of Jonathan Goodman’s retirement after serving in various senior management capacities over seven years with the Swedish performance electric vehicle brand.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Galvin stated, “I am thrilled to take on the role of Managing Director of Polestar UK and Ireland at this pivotal moment for the brand. With our transition from a single car lineup to a comprehensive three-car brand and ambitious growth plans for the coming years, the opportunity couldn’t be more exciting.”
He added, “I eagerly anticipate collaborating with the talented teams at Polestar UK and Ireland, and I extend my best wishes to Jonathan for a fulfilling retirement.”
