Point S, the global leader in tyre retail and car maintenance, has solidified its long-standing commitment to elite women’s handball by becoming an official partner of the Women’s EHF Euro 2024. This prestigious tournament, set to take place across Austria, Hungary, and Switzerland from November 28th to December 15th, 2024, will see 24 of Europe’s top national handball teams competing for the continental crown.

The partnership underscores Point S’s dedication to fostering women’s sport, marking yet another milestone in its association with international handball. Having sponsored the 2022 edition of the Women’s EHF Euro, as well as the 2019 and 2023 International Handball Federation’s Women’s World Championships, Point S continues to position itself as a champion of gender equality and athletic excellence.

This year’s tournament is notable for its expansion, as the number of participating teams has increased from 16 to 24, making it the largest Women’s EHF Euro to date. The matches, which will take place in Austria, Hungary, and Switzerland, will feature 65 exhilarating games in venues across these nations, showcasing the highest level of skill and teamwork in women’s handball.

A Natural Fit in Central Europe
Point S’s presence in the tournament’s host countries is significant, with more than 130 points of sale across Austria, Hungary, and Switzerland. This strong foothold in Central Europe makes the sponsorship a natural extension of the brand’s operations, allowing it to connect with local communities while expanding its visibility across the continent.

Fabien Bouquet, CEO of Point S International, highlighted the importance of this partnership, stating, “Point S is committed to supporting women’s sport for the long term, and the Women’s EHF Euro 2024 is the next step in showcasing this support. The teamwork, dedication, and skill on display at this level of competition are foundations that we encourage in our global network of over 6,300 Point S centres.”

Bouquet also emphasized the special connection the network feels with the host nations. “The host nations of this year’s tournament feel like home to Point S, as our network has a strong presence in Central Europe. Our local points of sale are encouraged to get into the spirit of the tournament, and I’m sure our customers will do the same.”

Visible Presence on a Grand Stage
As part of its sponsorship, Point S will enjoy prominent branding at all 65 matches, both on the courts and throughout the tournament’s official communications. In addition, the network will be the headline partner for the Top Scorer digital section, a coveted role that aligns with its focus on performance and excellence.

This collaboration not only increases the brand’s visibility but also deepens its engagement with a growing audience of handball enthusiasts. Martin Hausleitner, Secretary General of the European Handball Federation (EHF), praised the partnership, noting, “Point S’s interest in adding its name as a partner to our flagship national team competition is further evidence of handball’s growing appeal. We are looking forward to working with the network and providing the EHF EURO as a platform to increase its visibility and connect with new audiences.”

A Commitment to Excellence
Point S’s sponsorship of the Women’s EHF Euro 2024 aligns with its global ethos of encouraging teamwork, performance, and dedication—values that are mirrored both on the handball court and across the company’s vast network of service centres. As the tournament progresses, Point S will be closely involved in the action, celebrating the sport while reinforcing its commitment to women’s athletics.

As the competition heats up in Austria, Hungary, and Switzerland, Point S will stand proudly alongside the teams, sharing in the excitement of Europe’s premier women’s handball tournament.
