Peugeot Citroen South Africa recently announced a corporate restructure that will streamline its organisation and reshape the Company to improve efficiency, innovation and customer experience and provide a more efficient and robust platform to work on.
Didier Gerard the Managing Director of Citroen South Africa, is set to leave the company he has led for nearly three years at the end of March , to return to the parent company as part of a wider restructure.
Didier, who joined Citroen South Africa in 2011, at a particularly challenging time, has steered the company’s growth over the past three years. During his tenure he focussed on the introduction and sales of new products to the Citroen range among these the DS4 and DS5. He was particularly instrumental in the induction of Citroen into the Taxi Market where the company is now on the brink of becoming a significant player.
A new position has been created for the PCSA Group in South Africa and will be headed up by Francis Harnie who will assume the position of Managing Director Peugeot Citroen South Africa. Peugeot and Citroen will continue to operate as separate entities from a Marketing, Sales and PR perspective.
Francis who has been in South Africa for the past three years brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of the business that will allow the company to continue its growth path and strengthen efforts to broaden the brand’s impact in the motoring arena.
